Only new photos for photography Friday❔
Question for the those who participates weekly in the #photographyfriday
Should we be posting only new photos in the photography Friday challenge to keep things interesting?
Should it be a rule moving forward?
The idea is to keep things fresh and level the plane field for new members coming in that don’t have a ton of photos in there archives to put up. It’s will be somewhat difficult for me to regulate or in force such a thing so it would be based on the honor system and you guys can regulate seeing a post from someone more then once.
Or ..
If you like things the way they are we can just leave it as is. I don’t want this to create a division (Please) and we would need a majority vote of a 80% swing to change it offically.
Also..
If there is anything else you want to suggest we implement please let me know.
For instance..
There are a lot of submissions week to week so I would love to highlight runners up every week but I would leave that to the Guest theme picker who selected the winner to announce in a reply that week as to who the runner ups where with their photo in the reply for everyone to see.

If I've learned one thing from having parented 3 teenagers & managed hundreds of adults, only establish rules you can enforce.
EDIT: only establish rules you can enforce consistently & fairly.
Being that I don't have much free time to play around with photography, it's going to rule me out if it has to be new photos only.
I thought that when my kids were grown, I would have so much free time. Turns out I actually can get 8+ hours sleep each night now. For 30+ years, I lived on 3-5 hours per night. So sleep is now a priority for health reasons.
Taking into account that nowadays anyone can take a decent photo with their cell phone, I vote for new photos to be taken for each event. On the other hand, it would not be bad to continue publishing the 3 finalists every Friday and the winner on Sundays. And, finally, I consider it important to limit it to one photograph per participant, this makes things much easier for the judge on duty. Thank you for your attention!
Purpose is to learn through new ideas and fresh ideas, become better photographers
My preference is to see new pics each week, seems more in the spirit of a this weeks contest winner
I.e. A person’s pic from 2 years ago, that’s been entered before, should not be entered again
New photographs, even if taken several years ago, are desirable provided they have not been previously submitted to photography challenge. Agree with @RichardQ , there should be a limit of photographs for submission, maybe perhaps 2.
