We run a fresh photography thread each week, starting on the Sunday, and have a guest judge set the theme and pick winners each week. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you wish with a connection to that weeks theme. The runners up will be mentioned in the following weeks thread and the winner gets a mention and their winning photo in the weekly newsletter.

I’m honoured to be the guest judge this week.
The most recent #1wc events reminded me of my childhood. I did a lot of nerdy things in school.
Also, I did alot of day-dreaming. I tried to figure out how the universe worked in my head. That was long time ago.
This week the theme will be “Education”. Let’s see your awesome photos. Be creative.

As my photographs from last week also fit this theme, I will resubmit them for now, and see what else I can think of for this week.
Yay! Congrats to my fellow runners up and the eventual winner. I have some ideas for this week 🤔
Education... We are in the fortunate position to be homeschooling our 7 and 10 year-olds, and as such our dining room does double duty as a little school house...
In my own case, I found that 95% of what I was taught in school (and brainwashed to believe) ended up being pernicious half-truths, lazy dogmatic dishonesty, and straightforwardly brazen lies!
I figure the single best thing I can do for my daughters is to hand over a giant pile of cash to each of 'em when they turn 18, and an even bigger pile when the wife and I kick the bucket - and, yes, all the watches are to be sold and converted into greenbacks. The second best thing I can offer is a real education.
