One Minute of Mike France Being a Full on Christopher Ward Tease: Let's get some predictions...
A snippet of an interview between Mike France of Christopher Ward and Watch Gecko popped up on my Instagram....
"We're not giving away any secrets.
No, as ever we have quite a few surprises up our sleeves.
At the end of April we have a very remarkable watch that will I think get people extraordinary excited about our capabilities."
"And then beyond that we have some humour through the summer."
"In August people should foreshorten their holidays to make sure they don't miss out on the launch at the end of August because it is amazing."
Ok.... I'm excited....
So what are our three predictions?
1) A watch showcasing capabilities.
A perpetual calendar???
2) A watch of humour.
Something Mr. Jones-esk? An alternative way to tell time?
3) Something amazing.
A stunner of a dial??

Tourbillion I think is a great shout, and would seem like the logical next step after the Bel Canto.
I would love to see them unvail a really dubious erotic watch.... I'm pretty sure you could make something fun with the power reserve complication 🤣

Venecianico seem to have crowned themselves kings of dial material exploration to me, so I'm not sure what CW could do that's properly amazing in that department 🤔 Unless it is literally something we haven't even considered yet.

My predictions:
1- they already set the standard of having a chiming mechanism with the Bel Canto, so it’s gotta be something equally impressive. I’m guessing tourbillion or perpetual calander…maybe a rattrapante chronograph?
2-Studio Underd0g or Mr Jones collab?
3- precious metal dress watch and/or maybe some type unique dial, maybe meteorite dial or enamel?

Here’s a wild prediction : I wonder if they are going full throttle and buying Parmigiani Fleurier which I heard was for sale? They would also get there manufacturing side also which makes everything in house , screws, cases, dials, become completely independent.
CW and Fears collaborated for the first Alliance watch. Maybe they won themselves a Mr Jones Watches dial design….?

Mmm, I watched this and was very intrigued. I'd better start filling up the watch fund in case something drops that I want.
The April launch will be an evolution of their in house caliber SH21. What that will look like exactly, I don't know.
He also mentions doing something with an expanded Bel Canto range which is interesting.
Well I'm not making any predictions, but I know someone who's got one right now. Gary from 'I like watches', I've messaged him (begged) to give us a sneaky peek👀.
I see a Bel Canto with the movement turned horizontal and a Rolex OP gumballs style dial or little tridents all over the dial. 🔱 At the end of August the Bel Canto movement flipped horizontal in the other direction with a rose gold case, meteorite dial with little tridents etched in rose gold on the dial.🔱 😂
