WatchCrunch Photograph Club: Your weekly photograph challenge!

Much appreciation to those who make it run and those that make it fun! With the world increasingly opening up again and this week's trip to WindUp San Francisco fast approaching let's try "On The Move" as this week's photo theme. Whether it's to work or Waikiki commuting provides many delicious opportunities for watch lovers. What to wear? What to wear? Let's embrace the journey with some creativity that extends past steering wheel pics and says as much about the person as the possession. I'll start with a pic that shows what a serious traveler and watch connoisseur I am.

I'll have to come up with some proper ones. Here's what I had handy.

Aside the watches, I dig the Praktica Pentacon Six TL camera in the post photo, I have several Prakticas in my camera collection. Can I suggest a companion site, call it Cameracrunch? 😂

Every Wednesday I travel around Puget Sound on ferry boats. This week the boat had to stop to let a pod of orcas pass by!

My favorite way to be "on the move" is hiking on a trail. This one ended at 6000 ft above sea level in Olympic NP.

Not exactly the need for speed..

But no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon whilst the rest of the world lays on their sofa digesting their dinner and watching the footy, dicking about on a fork truck 'moving' oil barrels.

Or using this to be 'moving' stuff, and you get to wear some funky gloves. And they even pay you for the privilege 😅 gotta love 'moving' Sunday's.

When it comes to my free time moving, I like to go on walks and I sometimes incorporate things like photography in the process.

Today, I went out on a walk to photograph my Khaki Field and got a bunch of photos in a grassy area near the sport fields in my city's center.

I made a dedicated post on them, but I feel like they also fit this thread's theme.

For the ‘On the Move’ and embracing the ‘says as much about the person as the possession’ theme is my beloved Dan Henry 1972 Maverick Chronograph 😎

My favorite movie is Top Gun, where Tom Cruise wears a Porsche Design Chronograph One by Orfina in black PVD.

When Top Gun: Maverick came out last year I got this ‘Maverick,’ which homages the PD Chronograph One, to comemorate the 36yr-long wait 😆

I hope this counts as, admittedly, I’m not flying the F-14 😉

Fishing vessels and tour boats all stranded at shore. Supposedly, military exercises were scheduled throughout the week. Couldn't go on the move and do island hopping. Oh well... just enjoy the beach!

Darn, lost track of time and took photos for last weeks theme. Well. No sense in wasting good shots. Will try to think of something. Meanwhile, enjoy the finest German Industrial Design that is the inside of my washing machine (not testing water resistance, and shan’t turn it on for ‘on the move’)

They did just shut down a big camera site, so there is a gap in the market…

I’m afraid my only means of transport is a little… non traditional? You know? Suffers from a wee bit of dimensional instability too you know, a bit like a Seiko Bezel but easier to fix. You just have to reformulate the exterior dimensions and overlay them on the interior interface,with a block transfer computation. Then, reverse the polarity of the neutron flow and Bob’s your Uncle in about eighty two years. Hard to get the parts these days too…

(Not really what I would consider a serious entry. I should have got out the lightsaber for the obvious Obi-Wan line reference tbh.)

On the move: My very full Hyundai for my big move to Socal!

On the move: we spent a week of holidays on the bikes to discover l'île de Ré and it was great. The sun, sometimes too much wind, but the fun and the pleasure of spending time together on our bikes ☺
