Notes for Newcomers:

If you are new to this thread and enjoy photography then feel free to post your pictures! We run a fresh photography thread each week, starting on the Sunday, and have a guest judge set the theme and pick winners each week. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you wish with a connection to that weeks theme. The runners up will be mentioned in the following weeks thread and the winner gets a mention and their winning photo in the weekly newsletter.

Winners also get an exclusive 'Winners Badge' for their WC profile!

If anyone wants adding to the tagging list let me know👍You certainly don't need to be on the list to post in the thread, it just helps people see the weekly post when its put up.

Happy snapping!

Thank you very much. I am honoured!

Thankyou for letting me set the theme for this week's competition, it's a great honour.

OK I'm going to pick a subject that's close to me, so as I work in industry my theme will be industry/industrial.

Image

I know most of you will not have the access I have to an industrial setting (you did far better at school than me) so landscape's, legacy, products etc. So get your overalls on,PPE (personal protective equipment) and show us some fantastic shots. Have some fun and get creative. Cheers.

Great photos in the runners up section and awesome theme @Stricko 👍

·

Ooo... Cool theme!

With all the old mills around me I'm sure I can find something. Plus we have the Tissington trail and the old railways near us too.

Right! To work thinking of some shots!

Well done everyone amazing photos. Loving @nooski and @emkama photos - a great choice of colours

·

You announce the industry theme just after I get back from West Yorkshire?! 😖

I’ll have to have a think!

·

This is going to be a fun theme, with all the old factories in Rhode Island I'm thinking my son and I are going to do some exploring this week for photos.

Here's what I have on on my phone that kind of fits the theme, if you give enough leeway.

I am no good at these but as I work in construction felt I’ve got to contribute this time and I’ve gone for a story board of lifting a massive Victorinox Inox Pro Diver Titanium (my toughest watch) into a working site.

Pretty sure I’ve got the scale wrong but that’s my shot.

Damn! Missed opportunity!

But the moral of the story is "Always take a wrist shot." 😁

Already some awesome shots!

Do you just use your phone or an actual camera?

Some flawless Photoshop right there! 😆

But the moral of the story is "Always take a wrist shot." 😁

I know some photographers set up the camera to take 3 shots at once at different exposures.

I’ll have to find a way to get mine to remind me to take a wrist shot with each photo - say, just in case someone comes up with an “on the beach with the family” theme or something!

·

Yay thanks for the nod and fun theme this week!

·

My entry for this week's theme is "Boat Life" the watch is a Brietling SuperOcean 42.

We are sat in Port waiting to head out to the North Sea oilfields.

I always feel that grey invokes "industrial" and this watch has it in spades

Does cyberpunk-ish count? Inside my computer ^

Decided to take this photo of my DW-5040PG while repairing the stove. Now let’s just hope we don’t have a gas leak. I am enjoying everyone’s take on this theme.

Great choice for your allen wrenches.

We’ve got to the end of the week, and this is the best I could come up with. Not much industry in Central London, except:

Remnants of the newspaper industry on Fleet Street:

Image

And what I believe they call a pile driver (but I’m also not sure if that might be something rude). Notice the cheeky strap change between shots 😉:
