The Unofficial and Completely Unsanctioned WatchCrunch Scavenger Hunt: 10 day count down
Last year's Scav Hunt was a slightly crazy affair, which dramatically escalated over a period of 4 weeks, raised £350 for charity and resulted in photographs that will go down in WC history.
The start of Scav Hunt 2023 is 10 days away.
Naturally, people are keen to know the rules of a game before signing up, but the beauty of the Scavenger Hunt is that you don't quite know what you're getting into, not even if you played last year. Plus, I do enjoy making things more interesting if I feel people are doing too well, so there will be surprises.
What I can tell you:
The scavenger hunt will last for 4 weeks.
There will be a weekly challenge set every Sunday that involves a list of photographs that you need to take in order to progress to the next week. If you don't submit the photographs in time, you're out.
There may well be flash challenges during the week.
All you have to do to win the Scavenger Hunt badge, become an official member of The WC Wolfpack and raise money for charity, is to survive for the 4 weeks.
That's all.
Easy.
This year the charities of choice are those that are there to support the victims of the fires in Hawaii.

Disclaimer: Getting through the four weeks is not easy! If you remember @Aurelian's #1wc... I would say that where that was more of an intellectual challenge, the #ScavHunt is more physical... and mental, but last year's survivers may be able to articulate it better...

One of the rarest badges is the Game Master badge. @Deeperblue has one. This game was an outgrowth of the first 1WC. @Deeperblue refined the concept, deepened it and made it what it is today.
I would participate, but usually one of the tasks involves traveling to the heart of a dormant volcano or sponge diving and my watches can't handle that.
