What’s your favourite brand?

Your favourite brand, your #1 brand, just one, The brand you have a soft spot for. Not what you can afford, the brand you love regardless of price.

Mine is Omega, because of their wide varieties, and of course the Speedy.

Love you hear yours.

Panerai. #ifyouknowyouknow

I have major soft spots for Ball and Breitling. Favourite is Camy, for emotional reasons alone.

·

AP because they've treated me well as a new customer. Of course the watches fit my preferences, but I assume that's a given for anyone answering this question.

·

Casio. Especially G Shock. Come on .. it's really all the watch we really need. Everything else is for fun.

·

Oris. I vibe with their designs, love the engagement with the community and their green efforts (even if it’s used as marketing)

·

It’s a watch I probably will never be able to afford to buy but it would be Vacheron…

·

Vintage Smiths

I’m not joking either… John Wick-ing this badboy today as I’m on site and I haven’t taken it off for 2 weeks.

Cartier. For me they have the perfect balance of design/jewellery and watch making, plus an extensive history and catalogue.

·

I'm Seiko fanboy 😂

at least I'm aware of it 🤣

Most watches I have owned were/are Seiko and it's currently within my budget for this hoby

·

At first I was thinking of Omega. My dad always had a small quarz Omega dress watch. For me the Speedy was a long term grail that I was lucky to be able to buy not long ago 🙂

But Cartier means the same to me. My mom wears a Tank Francaise and my dress watch is a Tank Must. I love old movies and the Tank always makes me feel Like Cary Grant 😆

So one of the two depending on the day and mood. :)

Hamilton (the American version). They were never the biggest (that was Waltham and then Elgin), but they led and never followed. The looked distinct from other watch brands, even their pocket watches.

·

Seiko among the main stream brands & Traska among microbrands

·

Grand Seiko.

·

Seiko without a doubt.

·

Hi Crunchers for me it just has to be PP skill, artistry, design, aesthetics I could go on and on………. However I doubt I will ever have one but you can always dream 💭

·

Overall Casio hands down for variety.

Casio definitely has the most watches in my collection.

Between affordability, practicality and the G-Shock sub brands (G-Shock, Master of G, MTG, MRG ect) you just can't beat em IMHO.

·

It sounds like the cheap and easy way out but my favorite brand is Rolex. Love them or hate them they have a lot of iconic and historically/culturally important watches that set the ground work for pretty much everyone else.

·

Omega especially for the Railmaster and AT.

I do like and enjoy Christopher Ward though. The design, quality and finish is brilliant at the price point. Add in the 5 year warranty and they take some beating.

·

A. Lange & Söhne.

Zeitwerk is my grail watch.

Casio. Especially G Shock. Come on .. it's really all the watch we really need. Everything else is for fun.

Absolutely correct.

·

Omega

VC

Parmigiana

Rolex Sub no date. Since I got the "call" 3 months ago(waited 3 months for it), haven't take it off my wrist, what I like the most, very comfortable for daily wear and how low key can be.

·

For a brand I’ve never seen in real life, Vacheron. For something in my range/collection, Longines or Hamilton.

@LuisV32 Yes, I would like to support @one.five.ohh 's experience too. I had a pretty decent experience at my boutique in Geneva as well. I was treated very well for first visit, I told the SA that my wife and I were interested an RO and I don't mind waiting for it. We had a good a chat about watches in general and my collections.

Since then I would visit the AD whenever I drop by Geneva, and we whatsapp each other every other month. Few months later, SA called me up and told me that my wife's watch is ready for pick up, sadly for me I'd have to wait a little longer but that's okay, I can wait for now Id just try other models like code11.59.

Keep in mind that once you walk out with RO you can make extra profits right away so luxury brands are now very careful with their customers, filtering out the flippers is part of their process, once they believe you that you are a true watch dude, they will sell it to you. Be patience, go visit them, it'll worth it, luxury watches are more fun when experiencing at an AD and in person anyway. it's not something you experience/decide over youtubers or random people from the internet.

So glad you had a good experience! Yes, I totally understand they have a tough job deciding who to allocate their sales too. So I'm very sympathetic to the situation and not bitter at all. It was just a bit disappointing to never hear back from the SA I had met and chatted with. Still I'm happy to see that others have had a good experience!👍

It maybe deserves a separate post. I was going for a diver very shortly after the newest ones were released and made a good connection with the sales manager I guess. I think it helps if you show interest in the brand beyond the RO and that they feel like you'll be able to buy on a regular basis going forward. At least one a year I'd say and don't jump around and change a lot, be specific and consistent with your ask. I waited about 8 months from introductions, and visited maybe once every 6 weeks or so while waiting, trying other pieces and chatting. They told me it should take 8-12 months pretty early on.

People sometimes take offense to this type of vetting, but I don't really understand why. They're serious about weeding out one and done customers and flippers. It also gives you an opportunity to really think through your plan in a thoughtful and unrushed manner. It's been the single best watch buying experience I've ever had, but I've also had a lot of bad ones so... 😅

Happy to hear you had a good experience!

·

Accutron. But REAL 1977 and earlier TUNING FORK ones. Not this modern self homage crap.

·

Chronoswiss 🙂 i love how all their watches have a little interesting complications like jumping hour; triple moonphase, mono pusher, even repeater tourbillon and not crazy money either bc they are mostly modified eta behind the back. Ppl dont appreciate them and i like that even more 🙂 close to buy one a few times but i guess next time it will happen.

·

Mine is Omega also, a close second would be Muhle-Glashütte.

·

Patek Philippe and Cartier!
