I need a Shanghai Watch for my collection.
Mechanical watch require maintenance and that cost money.
Rolex maintenance schedule is every 3 years of continuous use.
Seiko spring drive is 3-4 years maintenance schedule and it can cost up to $900.
It is your watch and money. I personally let my automatic wind down if I'm not using it.
You wear them unnecessarily because you don't used the watch. It's better to let the automatic wind down if you're not using it.
Yeah shouldn't keep a watch winder on all the time. Only use it if you have to.
Watch winder wear down your movements. I let my watch wind down. If I need to use an automatic watch, I shake it for a few seconds to get things moving again.
I never manually wind my automatic.
