Jomashop at that price will give you the most bang for your buck. Only place i found with sub $200.00 Swiss watches. Some Seiko's are around the $100.00 mark there. I got 3 Tissot watches all under $200.00 there.

Check out Long Island watch. Their "Under $200" tab. Some very cool mechanical pieces in that price range. Long island Watch is a very legit seller.

Some brands I like around that price are Orient, Tissot, and Seiko for quality mechanicals that won’t break the bank—you may have to go grey market for some of them though. For Quartz, I like Timex, Citizen, Casio, Vaer, and Baltany.

If you like field watches and like Quartz, Vaer and Baltany are very competitive.

What I have my eye on lately (thanks a lot Jody from JOMW):

Plenty of Orient watches under $200 if you want an automatic. Or older Seiko 5 like SNXS79, SNKL series, SNK809...you have quite a few options.

If quartz, get a G-shock, Casio or a Citizen Eco drive.

I would love too,but you have to be more specific about the watch.

The joy of watch enthusiasm is the search itself.

But I prepared some articles abouz affordable german watch brands:

Part1

Part2

Here I made some example collections with affordable watches only.

I hope that can give you some ideas.

DW5600 around 50 to 60 bucks and awesome

Check out Pagani Design (or San Martin during a sale) on Amazon or AliExpress. Fantastic watches that look great, very comfortable, well spec’d, and accurate reliable movements.

If you want Swiss, check out Victorinox. They don’t get the love they deserve. Tough, beautiful, reliable, available.

I just bought an amazing quarts chronograph diver for just 62 euro at Amazon - Invicta Pro Diver Chronograph 24003 - 100m water resist and 45,6x13,3mm classic case with a Seiko Hattori SII caliber VD53C14 Japan made high quality quartz movement, wavy black watch dial and elegant partly hollow hands with gold accents, crystal by flame fusion synthetic sapphire, golden right turnable time ring and safe screwed back plate, plus 22mm wide partly 18K gold plated wrist band, by removable solid stainless steel links...

And then did I also bought a second Casio W800HG-9AVDF for only 33 euro, that has four main advantages... It show every time info at once (without any extra key press) look extra nice with a golden display and gold details, have a 10 years battery and are 100 meters water resistant

And I also (recently) seen this incredible Chinese skeleton on eBay for just 100 euro...

Plus this Bulova quartz chronograph for 330 euro, but you might find it cheaper somewhere...

And finally a very elegant Jaques LeMans quartz for 400 euro or 300 euro in rose gold, if you get crazy and want to spend little more... There is also one without the mini dials, but that one have slightly too big looking indexes and it's also less wide, which make it less a man's watch...

Agreed. San Martin on sale is insane value for mechanical watches!

Second Long Island watches.

The Timex Q collection is great quartz watches.

What about a CWC

·

EBay. And do your research.

·

I just picked up this Luminox, which you can find for about $120 on Amazon. I've wanted a white watch and one with tritium tubes for a while, and this one checked both boxes.

If you’re into dive watches, take a look at Deep Blue or Aragon. They e got some good watches for that price.

·

Hey, whats that case size? I looked at these before and the Amazon description said 47mm now it says 37mm, neither seems right. Can you help!?

·

For your $200...here's my suggestion, which is easy because it's your money not my own!

Casio Duro + Jubilee bracelet = $70

Tank style (Franken Seiko, maybe)= $25

Berny/Pagani Aqua Terra homage = $100

A watch for just about every occasion.

·

That looks like a nice wearing size! Thank you for that

·

Just throwing this out there, this Seiko Titanium on Jomawatch is on sale right now. https://www.jomashop.com/seiko-classic-quartz-blue-dial-mens-watch-sur371p1.html

What about a CWC

Not sure you can get a CWC for under $200 anymore. The cheapest G10 on their web page is about $250 but most are closer to $300. Their prices include VAT, but I found that the 20% discount off the retail price was pretty much exactly what shipping, brokerage, and duty cost when receiving the watch. I'd recommend buying one if you have the cash. I did. Great watches. I think they look even better in hand than they do in their photographs. I just don't think you can get one for $200 anymore. I've heard stories about sub $100 examples on eBay but I've never seen one there that cheap either. Most are over $500. I guess the secret is out; CWC makes some pretty great watches.

VAER had a whole mess of quartz field watches in the $200 range. This one is $179, available in 36mm or 40mm.

Image

Currently sold out but this one squeaks in at $199.

Assembled in the USA, if that matters to you. Their quality is good. Their customer service is also good.

·

Orient are something you might consider and definitely check out Long Island watch.com for their own brand and other brands. Great company to deal with too.

Most of the watches I review on my YouTube channel are between $100 and $250 with some outliers. There are a lot of nice watches at every price point. Just depends on what you are looking for.

·

I thought the days of getting a decent Seiko for under $200 were gone, but I'm really digging the SRPG39. These are about $185 on Amazon.
