I bought my first "nice watch" 25years ago as a HS graduation gift to myself. I still own that watch and that $250 price tag is still my sweet spot. I have a few that I like retro styling and simple design aesthetics. I wear homages, tool watches, fashion brands and the occasional plated tin quartz watch (looking at you Timex) - If it tells time and I like the look, I'll wear it.

Probably, but I'm wanting a 6105-8000 the predecessor to the Willard and move the compass to the outside bezel.
Also, internal bezel watches aren't hard to find, even on Aliexpress and Namoki Mads makes a pretty nice one too, but the Alpinist I want I'd have to buy from Japan and I feel less confident doing that.
