I love my Pagani Designs (and San Martins). If you end up not loving it or it doesn’t keep perfect time, then gift it to a friend or relative. Believe me, that giftee will cherish it forever. Its only $90 anyway.
commented onWhat's the real deal with watch water resistance?·
If the watch has a water resistance rating, then I wear it while swimming showering, hand-washing, everything.
I swim with my Speedmaster Moonwatch and Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical (both rated at 50m) and have never had any issues. I don’t think my digital watches as a kid had anything more than a “water resist” pledge on them, and I would jump into any body of water I could find without ever worrying about my watch!
These things are metal tools. Stop being afraid of them. You bought them to wear, so wear them!

Once you finally get the high-end name-brand item, you naturally want its exclusivity to remain. Everyone likes to feel important and in-the-club. When others buy the cheap version, you feel like they are cheating and that your exclusive club membership is being diluted.
Also, luxury goods are only desired and sought-out because they are expensive and rare. Everyone knows that a Supreme T-shirt or a Birkin Bag costs no more to make than a Dickies cotton shirt or Michael Kors bag. But people want them because it demonstrates your wealth, prowess, success, and importance.
commented onWait for the AD or get it cheaper in the Grey Market?·
Just get it now. ADs are silly places. I don’t need champagne while I wait for you to size the bracelet wrong. I don’t need to small talk with the salesman who knows nothing about the product he’s selling except that “it looks good on you. We have excellent payment options” while he stands over you as if you are going to smash the display glass and run off with the merch. Lastly, if the watch is so great and the brand is so legendary, then a warranty isn’t really needed.
Also, what kind of dad leaves the heirloom watch to one twin son and nothing to the other twin? You got the shaft! 😆
