Build up an affordable german watch collection

Hello Fellows,

based on my affordable german watch brands series, I wanted to show how to build up a collection with those watches.

Part 1

Part 2

I picked up four different watches for every major watch type. The rule is: each less than 500 Euros.

It should be as cheap as possible, also as special as possible. So I doesn't chose the cheapest if there is a significant better one for little more money.

I also tryed to avoid the all known homage watches from Steinhart and Gigandet. They are great vallue for money but I tryed more challanging with models most people don't know.

So here is my selection:

==========================

Dresswatch

Circula Classic €189 (Circula is know for it's automatic divers. But this clasdic quartz has beautiful vintage details and applied indizes.)

Junghans Milano Solar €369

Kronsegler Aminium II Automatik €340

Bruno Söhnle Momento €340 (BS is known for it's exhebition of it's nice finished quartz movements)

Image

==========================

Diver

Dugena Divers Friend or Nautica (old Name or International used) €119 (the dial is full lume)

Elysee Bronze €299 (with the code MYVALENTINE you get 50% on Elysee. Which is more resonable for the NH35 movement. Snyway I love this design with some BlancPain vibes.)

Zeppelin Eurofighter €449 (they also offer a white full lume dial. These watches are build in the old german watchmaker town of Ruhla)

Sternglas Marus €449

==========================

Sport / All day

Dugena Tresor Automatik €259 (this watch offers Sapphire in the front and back)

Dugen Madison €179

Junkers Professor €268 (has some TagHeuer Carrera design touches)

Bruno Söhnle Turin II Big €495

Image

==========================

Flieger

Junkers Baumuster Automatik €340

Laco blaue Stunde €390 (blaud stunde means not only blue hour. It is the moment, when the sun sets in the horizon and the sky is setted in a strong blue color with the last light of the day. Fits cery well to it's dial.)

Gigandet Rad Baron II €229

Marc & Sons Classic Black €370

Image

==========================

Chronograph

Zeppelin 76743 €279

Junkers Cockpit €430

Elysee Race 2 €190

Gigandet Speedtimer Vintage €199

Thanks my Quartz-Friend. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes...there are some really good affordable german brands which are good in watch building but bad in PR and marketing. So many people outside of the german enthusiasts bubble never heared of.

Again a very nice post, especially for collectors with a smaller budget like me. Sadly I gotta mention that the Bruno Söhnle Turin now costs 700 euros. Very sad because this was one of my favourites for the future, but if you search a little bit you also getting these for the old price online so let's watch what's gonna happen with this online prices in the future. Anyway great post, thank for the effort, have a great day.

I've checked the prices fir Germany again.

You are right. There are two prices.

At the A.D.s: 495 Euro

At the BS -Website: 695 Euro

It seems that the AD didn't raised the prices yet as you have mentioned.

Honestly: The Turin is a good watch. But not 695 Euro good. The bracelet has the same quality as the Citizen NJ0150 Tsuyosa which costs the half. 495 Euro was actually the farest limit I would pay for. Usually I get it offered from my AD for 400 Euro which is reasonsble. But 695 is totally unrealistic. Yes that's really sad.

Thanks for the information.

Yeah completely agree, I also don't think that the watch is worth its new price. A AD jeweler from my city also raised the price and committed the official price raise. And the tsuyosa has not only the same bracelet quality it's also, (like you probably already knew) an automatic watch. I can't understand the decision of the brand, but it is how it is.
