I bought an Itay Noy after chatting with him post October 7th when I decided to buy as much Israeli made products for my home. Wife was not happy since “watches” don’t count as home products but I love this watch and it is my “shield” now.
Oh yes. Some work out well, others not so well… lol. I certainly try not to impulse buy because I tend to fall in and out of love with certain watches. Lust is fleeting, love is a slow burn lmao
If I can afford it knowing that it may not be perfect, then I'm ok. with it. I never do an impulse buy without having the money, nor a little knowledge about the product.
My wife has never said no to a watch purchase. If I bought one without passing it by her, I think she’d be disappointed and pissed simultaneously. Which would kill my chances for my grail watch 😎.
I was drinking vodka and shopping Casio G-shock, as one does. I decided that I've spent more on a bottle of wine and clicked. The next morning I got an alert that my watch shipped... oh, um, yeah I did that...
I came into a shop for a Casio Duro only to hear they've just soold out. They offered me a Casioak. I ended up loving it, but I exchanged it for a Square after half a year due to its size.
I'm not sure if I had kept the Duro, though. It's still rather big and that Duro was a batman, which I don't like (I prefer a pepsi or kermit).
Mixed results. Some are still in the collection and are worn regularly; others were passed on to family members...or are in the back of a drawer somewhere.
Pretty well so far. There are roughly three that I’ve bought on impulse and I love all of them. TBH tho, it’s usually ones that particularly speak to me—real standouts that hit what I love in a watch on the head—, not just stuff I lust after.
I became unexpectedly smitten by this San Martin I got in February. The blue is just amazing in person.

It came much thicker than advertised, so it went back.
I bought a Unimatic with little to no research. Never got it on the wrist. Got rid it. The only watch I've ever sold.
I saw this watch on the Internet on a Friday afternoon and on Saturday morning it was on my wrist

I wore my impulse buy for 20 years before I passed it to my brother when his watch got destroyed in a car accident, a seiko Diver so I gave him mine .
The results speak for themselves, we’re all in good company here 😅
This is the only one. I rarely wear it but it makes me happy to look at it in the watch box 🐶
Thought that was a condition of membership here ?
I went to pickup a Hamilton my son bought and saw this Glycine. Came home with it and the Hamilton.
Some people actually voted no? Such liars. Hahaha.
I am very deliberate and patient with my watch purchase. I voted no.
I’m pretty sure most of my watches are impulse buys. I’d have like 3 or 4 if they weren’t
for the most part everything under a grand is impulse
Yes...of course...
Greg @Aurelian and Chris @Porthole would probably say it appears that I do it every five minutes 😉

You have an alarm set on your phone with a reminder to buy a watch. Every five minutes is a slight exaggeration. It may only be once a day.

Same for me except replace a grand with $200.
Bought a JDM Casio Oceanus T200. Probably the perfect quartz watch. Period. Zero regrets.
I'm a huge Casio Fanboy 😁

I regret nothing
I have exercises poor impulse control (in relations to watch purchases) in the past. Usually they work on, but I have lost money.

It's working out well tbh

When I saw @GasWorks post and talk about it, I just knew...
It's been a joy ever since. :)
This...
If you're gonna do it, do it right 🤣
Any watch buy is a good buy

I've done it several times. Mixed results. I think I won't continue to do so in the future.
Hit and miss! 😜
