Pocket Rocket Refurb

A few weeks ago my good mate Craig @Guvnor64 sadly lost his Mum. There's a much longer story there but it's not mine to tell. The long and the short o...

Another little donkey saved from the glue factory....

I've been working on quite a few bits and bobs recently. The one pictured above is from 1971 and has a quirky 7006 movement. There's a quick set date...

Solid little watch for €50. I would expect it has a Miyota 8200 movement (says 8200 on the dial too)

Much maligned movement but I've always found them to be fine.

That BB58 isn't half bad, no its ALL bad. Bwah ha ha ha haaaa.

I expect sales of the BB58 to skyrocket on the back of this. 😂

I tried to be sensitive... I'm a sensitive soul me. 😉

I'd do it for a living but the NHS would miss me. 😏

Great review buddy. I like Tudor a lot... Rolex have lost the plot for me and the only sensible option for a "Rolex" purchase is now Tudor. Of course, others may have a different opinion, and they're entitled to be incorrect.

I've thought long and hard about my next purchase and, for such a long time, it was going to be the BB58. I'm now settled on the Brietling SuperOcean... its probably not as much watch for the money but that's the thing with this affliction we have... it makes no sense whatsoever 🤣

Sure I can't twist your arm on a lovely champagne dial... 🤣. There's still work to do on it yet... Crown needs polishing, etc. But it's really rather lovely

17mm is significantly less than an inch. I think you do yourself a considerable disservice sir. The only consolation is that we are only talking about wrists... 🤣

It does now though 👍
