The Urban Gentry was a gateway drug for me as far as getting into mechanical watches goes, but my two favorite channels are Just One More Watch and Ben’s Watch Club. I know a lot of people like the other folks on your list, but none of them really appeal to me.

·

Of that bunch, TGV is most entertaining. I don’t watch A or C at all.

IDGuy, especially when he discusses how he would change the design of a piece, from an industrial designer's perspective.

·

TGV is the only one of those that applies to my life, though Adrian seems like an OK guy.

If I'm looking into buying a car, Formula One and Ferrari videos don't help me at all.

Same for three of those channels you list there.

·

I enjoy Oisin’s rambles having nothing to do with watches 😂

·

Watch Finder and Teddy B above all of those.

·

Maybe Adrian Barker but the others don't really appeal to me. I saw a couple of reviews from YoureTerrific and thought he was efficient, hilarious, and informative . . . sadly most of his reviews are for watches that don't really interest me.

·

TGV, Peter Kotsa, Long Island Watch, Random Rob, Bruce Williams, Average Bros, On the Wrist from Off the Cuff, JOMW, ... I am sure I am forgetting many others! 😎

·

One of them is tolerable to watch, the other three are unwatchable to me. Many better channels as others have said; You're Terrific, Jenni Elle, Brittany; essentially anyone that does not take the hobby too seriously and is having fun. I also do my best to avoid any sponsored or promotional content, which eliminates a TON of channels. Then subtract those that are essentially flippers, or flippers adjacent, and it leaves us with some of the better. Sadly, the dopes that scream at the camera or talk about celebrity ties tend to get the most views.

JOMW as well

·

I rarely use utube

·

I don’t watch much but I like Marshall from Wristwatch Revival and Tim from Caseback Watches.

·

Fed is my favorite and the only one I watch regularly. When I'm considering an inexpensive piece, I go to JOMW.

·

The thing about Teddy (as some have mentioned him) is that I really have to take some of his posts with a grain of salt esp if he is benefitting directly or indirectly. That said, his production values are undeniable and some of the content like visiting watch factories/watchmakers are quite cool.

I wish Hodinkee visited more average watch collectors (or at least celebrities who actually have an organic watch history with interesting stories vs. “I got suddenly rich and bought this AP”).

·

I don't think any of these are 100% trustworthy to be honest! I'm more interested in channels talking about & restoring vintage watches.

·

Maverick watch reviewa, and 2nd Gi- Shock- Go

·

I like watching Dave from Just the Watch.

He focuses on stuff in my price range and within my interest.

·

I like folks who just get to it...Teddy, WatchChris, You're Terrific (I just like his style of humor...the comments are equally as funny), and a number of the folks that do unboxings etc

Like cars I usually search the product/watch and click on what comes up...everyone has a different take...

Never heard of Oisin.

Used to watch Urban Gentry but now not so much. Too much silliness, too long.

Seen a little of Nico but don’t bother trying to catch his stuff. Too much yelling. Which is why I can’t stand Archie Luxury or the Mad Watch Collector.

Been a fan of Adrian since his early days.

Of the four, I’d rather have a beer with Adrian.

I hate you for this post. I had managed to block out the existence (and videos) of Archie and Mad Watch Collector. Now I'm suffering PTSD from the memories of their annoying sensationalist videos. Going to drink some bourbon and crawl back into bed now....

The struggle is real. The whiskey should help 😆

Wristwatch Revival: https://youtube.com/@WristwatchRevival

And ID Guy: https://youtube.com/@ID-Guy

Both pass the “I could have a beer with this person without wishing I hadn’t” test.

Do you really see them in the same light? MWC has production values and humour. Archie has some kind of issue that needs to be addressed and zero production values. I see them as about as far apart as it gets.

They are different channels, yes, but the over-the-top shout-y-ness of both channels is equally annoying for similar reasons. Archie is annoying because that's just the way he is. MWC is putting on an act that doesn't resonate with me. It's obviously working for him because he has such a huge following. Kudos to him. But it feels too contrived for my liking, even if he's expressing his real thoughts and they are valid as a review of the watch he's looking at, the persona in the videos is really annoying. I tried to like it but in the end I blocked the channel along with Archie. I'm not judging anyone who loves their content. I don't like Tudors either. I know I'm wrong on at least one of those accounts.

·

Teddy B, Urban Gentry, Long Island Watch, Random Rob, Peter Kotsa and many others. I cast my net wide, variety is a good thing. I'm equally fascinated by what's popular and what isn't.

·

Teddy B, with exclusion of the videos he makes with Kevin O'leary (man is that guy full of himself)

MWC, just because it is a bit of fun

TGV, always nice videos (really like the series with Long Island Watches)

Ben's WC to get the most out of Amazon 🙂

Watchfinder although lately they have been pushing some watches that are questionable.

Jenni

And if I really want to have a laugh ProducerMichael, just amazing how little he knows about watches but has every model and make 😄

From the four you mentioned, I do like The Urban Gentry. Knowledgeable, great production values and integrity. What drives me crazy are people who take up more than half a video unboxing something while talking with jazz hands. The people who do this are legion no matter what the item is. Teddy Baldassarre gets right to the point and let's YOU unbox the watch if you order it. Thankfully you can either fast forward or leave the channel when a beat up package appears. Marc Frankel from Long Island Watch holds my attention as well along with a few others.

Nico Leonard is great but mostly reaction content. Adrian barker has maybe some of the best considered watch content out there IMO.
