Am I the only one who, when has to change the day and date, sets the day and date of the previous day and then... turns the hands?

I often set watches for the following day right around midnight, or soon after. So this is the logical way to do it.
I establish AM /PM, or set the time to 6 before adjusting the date because if I change the date first and it turns out to already be in the PM and it's between 9 and midnight I won't potentially screw something up.
I do the reverse. I set the time first (which means I cross midnight), then add more date as needed.
Don't want to accidentally change date and time at critical hour between 11pm and 5am.
Exception is 31 to 1, then I just advance.
That’s what I do. If I don’t it almost never works out right.
Same protocol.
Same here 😁
Nope. its the only way to do it.
Generally avoid watches with date complications
Always, every time.
Well, mostly.
I do also have some vintage watches with a date, but no quick-set date. I tend to only deploy them when the date is nearly right anyway, having destroyed crowns with excessive date winding in the past.
I do the same thing.
Nope, me does it exactly the same
Nope that's the correct way sir
Yes I do that, just not after 9 and 3 at night
I do that if/when it's between 9PM and 3AM.
Isn't that how it's done? 😄
Always since I was a young one.
Always
This is what I do.
As old Big Ears says (no not Noddy's friend, the other one), it's the best way to do it..
That's how I do it to make sure I'm not off by 12 hours and judging by previous replies it seems that we are not alone.
That’s exactly how I do it🤷🏼♂️👌🏻
That’s the best way to do it!
This is the the safest (to not damage the movement) and best way to set the date and time.
Absolutely 👍🏼
And that's the way it is...

I would eliminate the date windows off my watches if I could make a genie wish with Barbara Eden :) showing my age here :)
That’s what my seiko skx 013 operatining instructions told me to do so yes that what I do every time!
