Hello, my name is E2 and I live in a watch box. I’m a bit worried about my existence. Shall I stay, or shall I go?

In the beginning everything seemed perfect. I remember when I was brought home from the AD. The proud smile of my owner’s face when he took me home that Sunday in August. Yes I know he hesitated a day before he decided that I was to be brought home tohis box. But he told me that was only because he was surprised by the chance to bring me home and I always have had an open slot prepared in the box. The only reason for the hesitation, he said, was that I came a bit premature. Originally I was supposed to come a little later down the line. What does that even mean? Anyway, we had some fantastic days together at the end of the summer.

Surprisingly for me, during autumn and winter we haven’t had much of a relationship. I asked ”Are you tired of me already? ”No, no”, he assured me. ”Wait to the spring when the sun return. You will have a great time outdoor with me and the summer will be fantastic”. Despite the reassuring statements I’m now getting a bit worried. He has spent more time with my 40mm cousins. When he tries me on before the mirror I can tell in his eyes that something is bugging him. In front of the mirror he seems pleased but when looking at me on the wrist I get that strange look again. I overheard him asking his wife if I were to fat. She denied that but I have seen him looking at photos of my older 40mm sister. I heard him mumble ”trade”.
We have had a family counceling meeting. He promised to give me a real revived honeymoon again this summer. I promised him back to give him all my charm. My white dial will be beautiful, the orange GMT hand will be eye candy and my brushed bezel will sparkle in the sun. I have deserved this slot in the box and I will prove it to him.
I collect new as well as vintage. I have a weak spot for 50s and 60s Omegas. Besides from those I consider myself allround.

I’ve thrown more money down the toilet with cars and bikes that I will ever spend on watches 😆 This is the safer hobby financially from my end 😜
You know it! I've been there myself. People ask me what my favorite car, bike etc is these days. I reply "Paid for." Too much traffic & responsibilities to drive or ride for pleasure. Oh then there is the expense
