BB chrono on rubber, yes or no?

Got a little tired of the weight and resizing of my bb chrono, i work out alot so my wrist expands and shrinks very often. Therefore i decided to order a rubber strap for my chrono on allie express, yes you heard right allie express...... It arrived a couple days ago and i put it on there yesterday. So far for me i like the look way better, it makes the lugs pop out and focuses the eyes on the watch and dial itself. How do you guys feel about this switch up, and do you like the original orthis better.

Looks pretty good from here

Looks good!! I have been eyeing this watch either the white or black dial… how’s the wearability? Do you find it too bulky? Is it comfortable for a daily wear?

·

Looks good to me. I bought a similar strap from AliExpress and found the rubber to be very supple and comfortable.

I put a silicone strap on my BB58 homage. It came with a fabric strap that irritated the heck out of me. I am now much happier, and the watch looks and feels vastly improved.

With the metal bracelet its ok to wear but it can get a bit top heavy. I noticed that it can slip up and down the wrist pretty quickly because of the weight. Before i got this strap i would have been doubtful to give an answer. But since i got this its a solid yes for me, its the best chrono at this price point in my opinion. Be prepared for a bit of a noisy rotor, this is because its a modded B01 movement. And the crown can feel a bit clumsy due to its seize. Besides that i would reccomend it.

I totally agree, the other straps online: vanguard, rubber b and so on are like €200/300 plus a long shipping time. Dont get me wrong i like splurging in a watch itself, but when it comes to this why not get the 10% price option with 98% of the quality of the expensive kind. 🤷‍♂

title wanted me to say no, photos made me say yes!!

·

The BB Chrono is so versatile you should also try it with a NATO strap.

Very nice.

I bought several good quality straps on Ali. I also bought one that was absolute garbage. There is a lot of good stuff there but be careful.

The strap looks really nice btw.

·

I like it. Then again, I’m a fan of rubber, leather, and NATO straps in general as oppose to bracelets.

I've found for a heavier watch a nice thick leather strap holds the watch in place well and seems to absorb the weight to the point I hardly feel the watch on my wrist. When I received my Sinn 104, it came with a thick leather strap that I thought I would immediately replace. After a few days of wearing the thick strap with the heavier watch, I found it to be a great combination. They are very comfortable together. Just an idea if weight/slipping are the primary issues you're trying to address.

I’m not a huge fan of chronographs I owned a few, but let them go. Tudor is very far out of my price range, but that strap and watch combination is to die for. I MEAN WOW!😎

Hmmm, i might have to give that a try. I know tudor deliver a pretty nice leather strap for this watch aswell.

Exactly, just the thought of seeing it dribble its way down and down untill its out of sight would be to much to bear. That place looks amazing btw, makes me want to pack back up and start travelling again.

Pfff looks straight out of national geographic 😆. You could make some awesome pictures of watches in nature there.

For me comfort is the priority. My Sub 114060 has been on a rubber strap for 4 months now and it's been good for me. Unless all bracelet manufacturers start to make the equivalent of Rolex glide lock system, I would always be 50/50 with bracelets.

·

Looks great...but won't everything on it? 👍

I could not agree more, i like the look of the rubber on the chrono better. And the addition of the on the fly adjustability just makes it an amazing experience. Do you think you will be going back to bracelet any time soon? I myself dont see myself switching up fast again, since now i can also be more relaxed about scratching the bracelet.

I doubt. My skin reaction with 904L steel can be mixed. On a fine cloudy day it's fine. But when it starts getting hot and sweaty, the nickel allergy kicks in. Mind you the allergies tend to affect the underside of the wrist more than the top.
