Another amazing day of memories

Today whas another big milestone in life i had been waiting for for a while. My first ride together with my father after getting my motorcycle license. We took the 2 six cillinder cbx 1050's out of the garage and started driving. I obviously showed him my other hobby a bit, took him to the ad close to us and even ended up getting gifted a catologue by the nice lady there. Got back on our bikes and drove to a nice pizzeria for a quick bite. Then after that drove back home to drop the old man off 🤭 so i cpuld go for a real ride hehe. 35 min later i whas back and all this wearing my BB chrono save to say thats never being sold. Amazing times. 😁

I've been on rides, at least one within the last few years, where a CBX showed up, but two running together is a rare sight. There is something special about riding alongside someone on the same model bike, as the power, shift points, and other capabilities are all generally aligned such that there is a harmony that is otherwise lacking.

That said, a vintage bike with six carburetors must make the service cost and interval of any watch seem downright reasonable. I know it's a Honda, but still.

Awesome man! I am envious 😀 as my Suzuki is still in winter hibernation and with the amount of snow still on the ground, likely won't be out for another month 😕. Glad you had a wonderful ride with your Dad on those wicked vintage Bikes! 😎

Very well put, it whas my first ride together with someone else. But i can only imagine if one person is on an "old" cbx and one is on a fireblade cbr 1000 its going to be hard sticking together. And exactly what you said about the rarity, they both belong to my dad and i never understood the rarity untill we started riding them. Wherever we go peoples jaw just drops for some reason and everyone walks straight past the newer bikes right to us and the old horses. 😁

As far as the service costs they are both his so thats on his plate haha, but i do believe so far they have been pretty reliable and low in cost. So far i say 😅

Thanks man, it whas amazing 😋.

It whas my first nice weather ride aswell since getting my license got it in the middle of winter during ice and snow. So getting out there in dry conditions and sun felt like a blessing.

Keep us updated on the re awakening on the suzuki. 😁

Would love to see more bike related posts on here .

Bike and watch related posts are indeed cool! Hey maybe we can start a topic about what watch our fellow motorcycle-riding, watch enthusiasts wear when out for a scoot! 😎

Exactly, technically im going to need a riding watch aswell. No its not an excuse to buy more 🤭 ok maybe a little, because the 41mm colt wears pretty nice under the cuf of my suit. But the chrono with its 14.2mm does not really sit well under a riding suit. That being said would love to see some vintage bikes matched with watches from the same era.

Great story! A CBX is such a fascinating bike; I haven't seen one in the flesh yet. I'm sure the sound was incredible. Making memories is the best part of any hobby.
