I've had the Noble since launch. About thee years. The only issue I've had is my clasp stopped clicking closed...with 2 months of warranty left. Monta took care of it pretty quickly.
While there is nothing wrong with having a Grail, I personally don't believe in having one.I believe in connections. I limit myself to 8 watches and I have a deep emotional connection to 4 of my watches. I know these 4 are lifetime watchers. My pie in the sky goal is to have a collection of watches that I could never replace because of what they mean to me not because of a perceived want.
No problem with quartz. The next watch I am saving for is a Breitling Aerospace Advantage ('07-'13). I like the slightly smaller 42mm case. But if I find a steal on an Aerospace Evo ('14-'24) I could be convinced to go a little larger.
Nice. That is a great one too.
I originally wanted the grey dial one but Jomashop sold out before I was ready to pull the trigger. The black dial was my second choice but in retrospect it was the right decision (for me). The black goes with more.
I have not had either of these but I have owned a Tudor BB41. I never connected to it and sold it after a year. I ended up replacing it with a Monta Nobel. 3 years later the Nobel is still one of my favorite watches ever.
Tudors are great but I think Monta is their equal in quality and honestly has better finishing and bracelet. With that said the Tudor has the better brand and resale and has a traveler GMT vs. Monta's caller GMT. You cannot go wrong either way.
I agree but I also think the watch community misuses 'homage' a lot as meaning a near copy. Truely homage means inspired by. The C63 GMT (which I own) is an homage in the truest way. It is not just me saying that, CW is up front telling you what inspired them. They even call it a "GMT explorer" style watch in their marketing.
Now the people that say it's a homage because they think it's a 'copy' are idiots.
