What's your most complimented watch?

I'm curious to see which watch in your collection gets the most attention or compliments.

Here's mine, also happens to be the cheapest one I own.

The only watch that has been complimented in the wild is my gen 1 monster.

·

People never notice my watches.

·

Unfortunately, they compliment my good looks more than my watch…😉

People never notice my watches.

It's the bronze. Bronze is invisible to persons of taste and refinement.

·

I’ve never ever been complimented on my watch.

i think this one

No-one compliments me. But this is by design. Generally I like watches that are small, low-key and do not draw attention. They are for my enjoyment only, and I have no desire to impress anyone with them.

It has to be the yellow.

·

My BB GMT but it might be because it's my only watch now with any splash of color.  Also, at least one notice was from someone who thought it was a Rolex.

·

Only one person has ever commented on my watches.  Even then, it was only to say he was interested to see which watch I would be wearing each time we met.

·

Never got a compliment in nearly 50 years of watches.

·

None? Haha.

Awhile back, I had a black dial Longines Dolce Vita automatic on leather that caught attention at times.

That is a beautiful watch, thanks.

My watches sometimes have few compliments but never goes further than "nice watch", except my newly purchased Casioak. In 3 weeks I think i got 5 or 6 people saying "I love your watch !"

My incredible lume Farer ? Nothing

My gorgeously shaped Timex S1 ? Nothing

My oh so dressy Seiko SNKL43 ? Nice blue, are you attending to a wedding ?

my swatch skin classic 😅

I don’t get comments often. When I do, turns out those people are watch people. Perhaps most people don’t look to see what watch I’m wearing or they get intimidated about commenting on a 4 or 5 figure watch or perhaps they might be jealous. I did hear a comment, albeit behind my back, along the lines of I have a watch to match anything I wear so....

PS: The one comment occasion I remember was about a Super Ocean Heritage 57.

For me it always seems to be the less expensive ones. This one seems to get a lot of attention

When I first bought my Q Timex Pepsi bezel, a coffee vendor asked me if that was an old watch.  I told him it is meant to look vintage and he said, it reminds me of a watch my brother wore many years ago.  He said he always loved that watch.  Truthfully, I get more compliments when I wear my concert tees.  I don't think people really notice watches because you really have to look for them.  I'm sure there are some people who buy Rolex or other watches to flex are disappointed when no one notices.  I also get comments when I wear my character watches like Snoopy, Mickey, etc.

·

My Xeric Halograph gets the most attention, especially from non-watch people. It was one of my first watches and I got it for the same reason I think most people are intrigued by it: “how do you tell the time?”  It’s a unique dial and a great conversation starter.

Only ever had one compliment and that was for a Gshock GA-201. That's ok though as I don't really care what others think as it's me wearing them

·

My all-ADLC Santos.

·

I've only gotten comments on three watches.

One was on a Fossil I use to have that died.

The other one was on a Pogue inspired Mod I did using a Samurai SKX Conversion Case (its a bit loud and big). However, that came from my Brother so I don't know if it counts.

And the last one wasn't really a watch it was my iWatch. I was an early adopter when they first came out (I wasn't into real watches at the time) and I got lots of complements on that thing the first few months lol.

·

Nobody notices. Maybe think I'm so backward I still wear a watch that isn't a smartwatch.
Come to think of it, two comments, from fellow watch geeks

·

My BB58 blue for some reason. 😉

·

My Blue Casio Duro or the Vostok Amphibia with a colorful bezel get a lot of compliments. Generally I find the more colorful and simpler pieces get the most. Wearing a nice tropic rubber or leather strap helps as opposed to a bracelet.

Gracias!

I am a only guy working within a workforce of women. i can tell you that women do notice your watch but dont comment. They wont know details but they do notice. So after  saying that my comments received are generally like this. ie, My newest g shock square solar/ bluetooth etc got comments like.....oh thats from the 80s? or ...hows yr casio?

My 38mm khaki field on my 7 3/4 inch wrist has got multiple comments......thats a  little watch.

Some ask me for advice when they are going to buy gifts for their partners. And sadly some of the questions asked are because they dont like what their partners wearing.............Shall I buy him an armani watch or....what kind of michael hill watch shall I get him ( shit stuff) or even Im going to buy a gold tag heur for him.

They are also very aware what the eligable males with status have .ie seniors or managers.

None of my watches get compliments or are even noticed by civilians outside of the watch battalion of enthusiasts. Wait, I take that back...I wore a Tissot Powermatic 80 #T101.407.16.071.00 with the rhodium dial for my birthday last December which got a compliment in a restaurant. Needless to say I was shocked.
