I think g shocks aren't all that disposable. Especially the metal ones. My line of work is engineering and very hands on. Absolute hell for a watch and I've often worried about my edifice beater. They can be fixed like other watches. But I see your point as people are more likely to throw them away
Couldn't agree more, my collection revolves around being able to be worn at work, working on my car and anything I throw at it.
Great to see a fellow submariner from across the pond as well! 🐬
As someone who owns so many, what's your experience with the stp movements? I heard a lot of horror stories that put me off buying one a couple months ago
My Grail was a pelagos 39 for a while. However since my collecting has matured a bit. Honestly im in love with a 9F quartz grand seiko. To hate on quartz watches is to not appreciate the history and technology that has gone into them. Its damned un watch enthusiastic! :)
Anyone else think the light blue one gives pelagos vibes?
So at the moment I've got 3 options that are stood out to me:
Yema superman 500 (in house caliber under 1k!)
Doxa sub 200
Citizen challenge diver automatic titanium
