My perfect watch is a quartz Tag 🥲

I have been dreaming of a Pelagos 39 with a date. I haven't dared to dream of quartz version, much less a solar..

My perfect watch is a quality titanium quartz diver with 40mm case or smaller. Decent lume and date. Is this the only one?

But I think that if it wasn't for the sigma surrounding Tag I would have sold my watches and just gotten this. But it shouldn't be that way? Pretty stupid.

They got a unique design here. In a world where every other diver is a Sub homage. I don't love the bracelet, but this would be the ultimate strapmonster.

Don’t listen to all the hate around TAG. A lot of it comes from people who’ve never owned one.

I’ve owned many over the years and loved them all. This one looks great and I’ve had my eye on this one myself lately. I think it’s be a keeper.

Give your brain a reset and go and try one on. Only way for sure that you’ll know if you like it in the flesh.

Funny you should post this today, as I went and tried on the steel version of this watch yesterday.

I was surprised how light it felt for a steel watch, and I own the very light Pelagos 39mm.

From the little amount I had it on the wrist, I could see it is a comfortable wear.

Pair that to the lack of servicing needed in years to come, it could be a great purchase. I managed to knock £300 of just by asking if a discount was available, so the RRP isn't the price you will pay.

I just saw that they had a new one in steel. But if I ever manned up and did it, it would have to be the Ti 🤔 but I will keep it in mind to haggle a bit 😊 Thanks

If the Ti is the must have for you due to it being made of Titanium then I understand.

If you are choosing it due to its weight, there isn't a big difference between them.

My local AD had 4 Solargraph's that I got to handle.

The one in the photo, the Titanium, a Steel with blue dial and the PVD coated black carbon effect one.

The Steel with black or blue dial felt like the best value of the variants.

Hope that helps.

I Know this is said very often and very redundant at this point, but just a reminder. Buy what you like because you will be the one staring at it on your wrist and it's your money.

As a happy Tag owner, i would say go for it if you want it. Nothing wrong with quartz watches. They are such a convenience when you're in a hurry to get out of the house too.☺️

·

My oceanus does pretty much the same.

·

Nice One. There's nothing wrong with Tag Heuer Good affordable watch.

·

Buy a Scurfa! Or by the Tag, it’s cool b

·

I tried one when purchasing my Pelagos at the AD, and yes it made me rethink … the Tag is awesome!!

I think I would go for the PVD if not the Ti. I think they would age better than regular stainless 😊

As I've got into watches the thing that has surprised me the most is that how much I am willing to pay for a quartz watch has increased a lot more than how much I am willing to pay for a mechanical watch. It's not a diver but this is a quartz watch on my list at some point.

These are a beautiful watch with great finishing and apparently excellent ti.ekeeping. But I HATE that chicken they put on the dial.

·

I own an Aquaracer Quartz with the red bezel and I love it. It came to me on a trade deal and I wasn't that excited I was getting it. But when I got the watch I was impressed with the quality you get on this somewhat entry level piece. The bracelet, crown action, setting and bezel are all very nice quality.

I think you will warm up to the bracelet once you try it. There is no rattle, that thing is put together tight.

Purchase approved.

You can also get them with the word 'chronomaster' instead of the chicken 😂🐔

I Recently was a able to try both. The aquaracer was on its strap. I didn't take pictures on the wrist but the 39 felt amazing. Picked up this titanium victorinox for $100.

Has become a bit of a tag discussion but thought I should draw your attention to this certina as an alternative, 38mm and titanium with a date

Thank you 🙏 kind Sir

·

I've tried one on yesterday, it wears really nice, but feels smaller than 40mm. Overall, I like it....but the price is a bit to steep for me...

·

Go for it! I’m in love with mine.

If I hadn’t pulled the trigger as fast I probably would’ve gotten the solargraph🫣
