Do you adjust your bracelet on your watches for winter and summer?

I've just started taking a link out or micro adjusting tighter with most my watches for the winter and was just wondering if crunchers adjust their watches for winter then loosen them up before summer starts?

I adjust it every time I eat lol… depends on the salt intake 😖🤫

·

A big reason I hate bracelets. My wrist changes size with the weather.

·

I set with a little space, enough to fit when my wrist swells. If I need more space, ill use easy links. My Tudor’s don’t have easy link, but there is enough space for swelling. With leather, I adjust the strap.

I can understand that but I still prefer bracelet even with this nuisance. I only have one watch with quick adjust.

That’s why I love my Tudor Pelagos 42 on the fly Adjustment as well as having a spin setting that self adjust itself

Do you have a lot of quick adjust bracelets?

That self adjusting is pretty sweet. Makes a lot of sense.

Just a couple not too many …

·

Sometimes I make micro adjusts multiple times a day when hiking I have elevation changes or when the temps drop or go up

my wrist fluctuates a lot. The Rolex easy link system is a game changer for me

·

I have never adjusted a bracelet once I've had it sized after purchase. I don't doubt my wrist size changes slightly with weather but never enough for me to notice a difference in how the bracelet fits.

·

I adjust my “on the fly” micro adjust a couple of times a day.

Do you have a link removal tool at all times on you?

To be honest it’s one of the best things about the watch it’s a shame they don’t have it on any other watches

·

I spent a little time checking all mine this year, had to add a link to two of them, now they should all work with the micro-adjust in any temperature.

·

Just moved the micro adjustment one step inwards because it is freezing cold here. I do this just like DST reset on my watch twice a year.

·

Yeah we have quite the temperature range here in Toronto, Canada.

Very hot and humid summers, and very cold, harsh winter.

So no choice in the matter - some adjusting has to be done unless I consume more salts I guess…

·

I live like it’s 2005. Wear them ever so loose so it fits when it’s warm and might slide a bit if cold but once I warm up I’m fine. On the fly adjust doesn’t do anything for me but I’m sure playing with it all day is fun.

I have that problem too, for sure. Visit my profile over on BeltCrunch.

No, can‘t do it, I‘m too scared 😔

·

During the summer I had to adjust my clasp 4-5 times a day. That meant I only wore the watches with fly adjust. I've always been a bracelet guy; but now, I think I should look more at straps.

·

The micro adjust on the Pelagos 39 is a life saver 🙌🏼

·

But of course

Though you were a permanent righty

Some stuff wears a little better on left wrist I feel. Like my pro master or san Martin turtle.

·

Just adjusted my micro adjusts on mine. Always boggles me how much you notice the change

I wear bracelet or rubber strap in the winter and change to NATO when it gets a bit warm.

Works flawlessly for me.

It’s also a reason (excuse 😅) to have different watches, some are for summer some for winter because of the strap… at first I used to swap out my bracelet to a NATO on my seamaster PO religiously every late spring…. But it was such a pain to put the bracelet back on in the fall, that In the end I just got another watch a Tudor GMT… ( at least that’s what I rationalized post-purchase 😂)

·

For me, it doesn’t depend on the weather, I can be hot in the winter as well as the summer and vice versa, its more dependent upon room temperature. Either way I don't adjust my bracelets/straps, I let it go loose or tighten up.

I've never tried a Nato. Not sure if I'd like it.

Many folks will not like it, but I tried it and it's totally my thing.

It's not a silver bullet, we're all different.

E.g.: I cannot wear leather, it gives me skin allergies.

I love it that we're all into the same hobby but we all wear watches differently.

If I wore on right it'd be smashed in under an hour

·

Once I got the clasp with on-the-fly adjustment, I fully understood its benefits. It's super useful to extend/retract the bracelet when you need it.

Here is the ratcheting system of the Unimatic's bracelet.

I got my SM300 on bracelet because the easy adjustment on the clasp really appealed but I've never had to use it - I work in a shop so I'm at a pretty consistent temperature I s'poze. Plus when it gets cold I wear NATO or Sailcloth.

·

Never needed to. I try and get the right fit for summer and it's just a tad looser in the winter
