I dislike hype. I dislike being told what to be interested in. Mostly I dislike not being able to afford a Patek, or a Rolex or a Cartier tank. But I made career choices that I feel were better for me, so I can’t really complain.

Bought my son a victorinox inox. An incredible watch. Looks good. Well made. Almost as tough as a Gshock. Not very far behind. Versatile. I don’t know why they’re not more popular.

I have a Timex smart watch. I found the continual buzzing annoyed. And if I turned it off I couldn’t see the point when I have lots of beautiful traditional watches. I wear it of a night to monitor the sleeping.

But for those who love them, I encourage them.
