For gshocks .. is there a difference between

‘Protection’ and ‘shock resistant’? I did a google search which brought up a whole lot of irrelevant not accurate answers.

Is there a difference?

Thanks in advance.

This is just my take on it. The shock resistant refers to the cushioning of the watch module. It is surrounded by a rubber cushion. Protection would be features like the raised bezel above the crystal to protect the crystal from damage. Also the buttons are recessed so to prevent shock being transmitted to the module.

That makes sense. Thank you.
