Certina 🤔

Alpina doesn’t get the respect it deserves for making a quality watch. I think one issue is that they make BIG watches, which are not as popular right now. The second, and IMO bigger issue, is that they don’t have an icon or heritage model to fall back on.

All good choices and we can fill a book with this. For modern brands, I’m going with Horage since they are trying to offer competitive movements and (relatively) more obtainable prices.

Totally agree.... The fact that I can't think of an iconic alpina off the top of my head. Great point.

They would be my pick of the four. They have a stunning back catalog and this recent reissue is the watch the Hamilton Boulton cosplays as (photo courtesy of Fratello)

Glycine for sure.

I just can’t get behind Alpina because their owned by Citizen.

Bought my son a victorinox inox. An incredible watch. Looks good. Well made. Almost as tough as a Gshock. Not very far behind. Versatile. I don’t know why they’re not more popular.
