Which Classic Simple Flieger?

Which classic Flieger would you go for, I want it pure and simple. I'd spend for something really special, but the Laco quartz is cheap and looks great. If I was going up to the next level I would consider the Laco professional which with my choices comes to 1330 Euros. What do you think of Laco? The cover picture is the basic model 40 mm, 310 Euros. Which other brands shine, Stowa, Sinn, Hamilton....? Remember pure and simple :)

Love the quartz flieger.

Love the quartz flieger.

Yes, simple, cheap, no hassle quartz. My thinking is it is a watch I like and want, but won't be in rotation too much so a quartz would be ideal.

·

I'm secretly in love with these simple Fliegers and you certainly won't do anything bad going for a Laco Pro or a Stowa Flieger Classic. I love their simple aesthetic and the blued hands add a tasty bling/detail.

Personally?

If I wanted just some B-uhr, then Miyota-powered Laco, model B.

If I wanted something really nice, Sinn 556i.

Laco augsburg

·

Basic Miyota one, love it far more than I expected.

Given more funds I'd definitely opt for the "Urbstuck"(apologies for spelling) aged models.

This "entry level" Laco has better lume than any of my Seiko divers 🤯

This one!

Stowa Flieger Classic 40mm Baumuster B.

I personally love my Sinn 556i

·

I’d go for one of Laco’s original line, most likely the Dortmund personally.

·

IWC Mark?

·

I personally like to have a polishing with this simple dial, to make it little less tooly and just tad

more flashy. I love IWC Mark XX and Laco is offering something similar but for substantially less money. Just and idea to add for all of the above, depending on what u like.

This is their flieger pro that you customise how you like

If you want something with history and tradition, then go with the Laco A type sandblasted with handwind movement, I use to have one and was a great watch. Simple, classic and literally a piece of history nowadays

·

Laco pro or one of the original cases, depending in your personal tastes, any day of the week. They are not in the same league as IWC but the value, quality and heritage are unmatched. Is a pilot watch collection really complete without a Laco flieger in either the A or B dials?

·

Sinn is another level up in my opinion. Stowa is the best pilots watch for the money in my opinion even though the Laco can be more than a little cheaper and still a great watch. IWC lost their minds and charge too much.

·

That are all good, but I went with the pro. Very happy with it.

Also brings me back to the quality and value of Damasko.

This Bund would be ideal for a Flieger 👌

I am a STOWA guy.

·

I have the Ausburg Laco and I love it. Simple, minimal, authentic, and hardy.

·

I think the Titanium 40mm longines spirit would be a very good choice.

Good call, but I will either go for a simple Lacco or the Damasko if I pay a bit more 👍🏻

·

I’m lost deep in Sinn on this one.

·

I have the Laco Munster(A dial) and the Stowa Classic 40(B dial). Both are fabulous but I'm careful with the Stowa. Keep it for special occasions because I don't eat to scratch it. The Laco I wear all the time because I like the patina and bumps and scratches make it look more authentic. Try a larger size as the original was all about BIG.
