200T or classic 300?

What do you think, the price is swaying me, maybe the size is pretty cool also?

New one is too small, imho - not necessarily the case size, but the dial.

Do you know what the dial size is compared to the 300?

No I don't.. just a thought.

Best bet would be to try them both on if that's possible (unlikely,I admit)

I like the case proportions of the 200T but the handset proportions on the 300 look better to me. I’d need to try them on of course. If I had a 7.5 inch or larger wrist it would be a Sub 300.

·

It look the same to me. GP

I think the 200T has better dimensions for a daily wear watch, as it's a couple of mm thinner than the 300T.

a few mm can make a big difference on the wrist.

I don’t know the dial size on the 200T but here’s the dial size of the Army (same size as the 300T):

I agree with @Inkitatus that the 200 might be too small. Just my opinion, though. I say the best thing to do would be to try both on and see what you feel is best for you.

@Lauren @Jfree4 Any chance you have some calipers laying around and can take a measurement of the dial size on your 200t.

This would be tremendously helpful for many like myself who are concerned about the 200t having a considerably smaller dial size than the 300/300t.

Sorry no calipers here, but if you call Topper Jewelers in CA ask for Joe. He can likely get you the measurement.

Random Rob reviewed the aquamarine version, and I believe he measured the dial opening.

I’ll see if I can get a measurement on mine.

Also, check my profile. I posted some comparison shots with other watches.

Awesome, I'll check out random Rob's video to see if it included that measurement. I appreciate you looking into it.

@Lewison ok, some rough measurements (no calipers, just old school ruler)

Dive bezel: 37.5mm

Dial opening: 26ish mm (again rough).

I will say: I’ve had the watch 10 days. Don’t let the numbers throw you off. Everything about the design is proportional, including the 18mm lug width and the dial opening. It looks right on wrist. Here’s my one caveat: if your wrist is 6.5+ and especially 7+, I’d try to find the full fat 300 for comparison. For me, the sub 200T is perfect for us small wrist guys (and gals!) who want the Doxa DNA.

Hope that helps!

@Jfree4 Thanks for taking the time to provide the measurements! I really appreciate it. Based on your rough estimate and comparing it to the sub 300 measurement provided earlier by @Kalsota it seems that the dial opening on the sub 200t might not be as small as some may imagine, especially considering the overall proportions of the watch. I think taking into account my 6.5 inch wrists the sub 200t may be a much better fit without sacrificing a whole lot of dial real estate.

Thanks again for your time.

Absolutely! I’m happy to help. Let us know what you go with! It’s a great watch.

Dude the 200 will be too small for you. Trust me! I had a sub 300 (carbon) and the 300 wears smaller than you might think because of the way the case is designed.
