Well, there goes my money.

Orange is my favourite colour. Spring Drive is my favourite movement. GMTs are my favourite complication.

I wish this was a base model!!!

The SBGE301, a new limited edition release from Grand Seiko. What are your thoughts?

Seiko is losing their base with all these Limited Editions. I chuckled this week with the rollout of the Bruce Lee LE.

·

It is a gorgeous watch. If I were in the market for orange, this would have quickly jumped to the top of the list.

·

Very unique and sounds like it’s very you! I endorse you spending your money on that watch. FWIW hahaha

As the meme goes: "Shut up and take my money!"

Orange is the new green

·

Looks good!

·

Its look so classic. Do you like 24 hours bezel?

·

I can’t find this model is it in the US or another market?

·

JDM, 300 pieces.

I still laugh when I recall my last day working for my old architect boss who commented that I was so colourful that morning because I was wearing charcoal sweater under my black suit. I love colour but not for my clothes or dials on my watches. I have not been able to even source a first green dial watch from Grand Seiko, the orange is going to take even longer.

·

How limited? I’m sure it’s not Rolex Daytona kind of limited, if you try for surd you can get one at retail or for even a little under.

Love the bright orange - love grand seiko 🍻, you get my endorsement

These are the four GS boutiques that will sell this model.

Love all of it! I hope you get to buy this and I will enjoy it vicariously.

Couldn’t agree more!! While i love everything/anything Bruce Lee since I was like 5, but LE at 15k is um not very limited or exclusive - not to mention the watch is NOTHING similar to the Seiko the man wore. 😏

Japan only.

·

Seems like the watch for you!

·

That's a bold color. I guess Grand Seiko being Grand Seiko it's inspired by "the fields of pumpkins on the slopes of Mount Iwate" 😜

·

Beautiful watch! Same here on all three points! Orange! Spring drive! Gmt!

I didn’t even know Bruce wore a watch

I agree, Seiko seems to be over doing this limited edition thing. But that Bruce Lee edition still looks good 😊

ROFL

Love orange too though I only have the 5KX GMT in that colour. If the Monster came back in orange, I’d snap one up damn quick.

You stole my thunder there, Antonio!

PS I couldn't care less what "inspires" GS dials. I would even prefer not to know.

"Well, there goes my money" could pretty much be the title of every post here on WatchCrunch.

Don't get me wrong, i generally love Grand Seiko dials when they are intricate and subtle, and I don't mind their inspired by Nature arguments.

I commented recently in another thread that maybe they should take a more Westerner approach to reach other audiences and I think this dial color can relate to that, is this the kind of color I see in other brands used very successfully, something bold and striking on its own, that just looks good. And I am sure the color in person will have more to it than what the stock photos shows.
