Casio Crash Concept
Coming away from the Casio Santos concept, I thought it would be fun to homage another icon from the Cartier catalog. Taking your beloved Casio F-91W, I’ve gleefully destroyed it in order to create this beautiful abomination.
They say the design came to me after I damaged the watch whilst getting into head on collision with a stand mixer. Sadly, the watch was never the same, and worst the dough over-kneaded resulting in a stiff, dry, and overly offensive loaf. It’s still unknown on whether the design inspiration was worth the lost sourdough and perhaps we shall never know. 😢 Get Mr. Casio on the phone and let’s make this happen.
Thanks for taking a look - which colorway would you be after?

That looks so good!

Thanks man! 🍻🤙
10/10 would buy.

Ditto x4 😂
Nice!

Thanks! 🍻
The skewed display and pushers really show full execution here. I like this much more than the Cartier, which admittedly makes me nauseous.
I think I'd be partial to the orange/green 787B though the blue Gulf might be more practical. Wait, this is not a practical watch...

Yeah, I don’t know what folks see in the original Crash. I feel like I can usually understand or find something about a watch’s design that might be appealing to others, but it’s a definitely a struggle with the Crash. It’s just art on the wrist that happens to tell the time very poorly. 🤷♂️
Casio should hire you.
Yes! I would buy/wear this (and your Santos, too)

Negative displays… as far as the eye can see. 😂

Appreciate the kind words! 🍻
The shape & the outline in the dial kinda have a racing track vibe to me.
If these were real, I would definitely go Ferrari
Salvador Dali approves
Waiting for this to become reality 💯
Id 100% get the Ferrari red one. Casio should release this

Maybe once Mr. Casio joins the Crunch we could make a request 😂
they need to make this
Very creative.
incredible idea!!!
I would buy that. Love the strap too.

That has to be made!
Does it need to be anything more than that? I adore the Crash, if nothing else it’s a statement.
I note the origin story, very clever 😉
I would definitely wear this.
The amount of work to make the module for such a watch renders it well into the realm of fantasy unlike, say, your mock-up of the Casio Santos. It would probably cost a small fortune, not unlike the muse.
For your next mashup you should probably consider a Casio Golf Game watch into a Tag Heuer Golf Tiger Woods Edition, but have the analogue handset as well. The Tagio Golf Game Golf Tiger Woods Golf Edition. The case is a golf ball.
I don't see that it would take much to produce it. It's a standard F91W module, the pushers can be wired to the contacts. The only new electronic part is the LCD.

So how easy is it to make such a custom screen? Genuine question.

Well I'm no manufacturing engineer, but think of the sort of pound shop crap that has small custom LCDs - tamagotchi knockoffs and the like. It can't cost much to set up a new LCD.
I love it! I'd wear it.
Brilliant!! 🤩 👏 Green and orange or the red one for me I think 🤔 👍
(let’s be honest I’d buy both of them😂)
Sorry to be so obtuse but apparently you are a business in Seattle. I enjoyed the F-91W treatment but after checking internet there is apparently no way to contact you😟

Hi Chris - Bevelwerks is not really a business though it may be listed as one. At one point I started a a YouTube channel under the Bevelwerks name which I had aspirations to build but learned that perhaps I should just stick to photography. The Casio Crash is a concept created/developed in a program similar to Photoshop. I am not sure what you are looking to accomplish - I do offer graphic design services under a different business name if you are looking for something of that sort.
