How do you display your collection?

I usually keep my watches in a watch box plus the watch winder on my dresser in my bedroom. I was flirting with the idea of buying a book shelf and displaying them that way.

I keep mine in their boxes in my cupboard😮

·

In the safe as specified by my insurance company, which takes the pleasure out of admiring them

·

My collection is in the Louvre. Don't go on Mondays.

My collection outgrew my 8-watch case from Wolf, so I was looking for a second case for the overflow. But I didn't want to spend much on a second case because I intended to keep to an 8-watch core collection. So I was happy to find an affordable watch box on Huckberry. It's the Case Elegance 6-watch box for $50 USD. It has a really good build quality for the price and comes good sized velvet watch cushions. There are some features that the Wolf had which this is lacking: a) each individual watch slot is a little too long, and b) in the Wolf each watch slot was slightly slanted forward, so you watches sit at the right angle for display. But these are pretty minor complaints given the price. One last thing to note: the Case Elegance box has a magnetic closure - but their webpage says that the magnets only exhibit 6 gauss, which is negligible for most modern watches. But something to keep in mind in case you're concerned about that.

I have my collection sitting mostly in either a Wolf 8-slot winder or a Wolf 10-slot box. I’m fully aware that they don’t make the most affordable timepiece storage solutions. However, I love the way they’re constructed and if you can buy them when on sale; you get a pretty good deal considering the base MSRP. #wolf #watchwinders #collecting #storage #tudor #rolex #grandseiko #zaratsu

I have the same 8 slot winder and need an overflow box for my manual winds. Great idea, thanks.

I love those. Really need to make a side gig with them. I’d certainly buy some. Other brands as well.

I put them up on another page and had to cut off orders after 24 hours. I bought a fourth printer to keep up. Breitling, omega, Montis, and users names or logos. One guy even wanted the dickbutt meme.

After I get through these that I’m printing now, I will post them on here. It’s been a very interesting couple weeks.

I do some design work. So I’ve taken inspiration from several on thingiverse and printables.

My collection is taking almost all of an IKEA Billy narrow book case and I use a variety of stands (Holme & Hadfield), winders and boxes. It's not really a cohesive look but it does the job.

Good you enjoy them like this 🙂 Everyday you can enjoy all of your watches

I use the same box as you, plus bigger 20 grid boxes for my lesser worn watches hidden in my wardrobe. Additional watches just get left randomly around the house to annoy my wife.

Image

I’m stealing the annoy wife trick! Will start leaving the beaters in awkward spots.

BTW - love the crazy gold S-5. I wanted to get the same model and wifey convinced me that it’s too crazy and too not bother

·

Got them in handmade wooden boxes displayed on a small table at the window...but when the house is deserted all day, or during vacations, I hide the boxes in different places in the house (I have good hiding places)....because the value of the collection is close to 60.000 EUR.....and I certainly don't put the watches in a safe in the house because that's exactly where potential burglars are looking for.

A wooden box does it for me

·

Disappointingly, either in their boxes on my desk, or, for my vintage pieces without boxes, on cushions or in plastic bags in my drawer.

·

I got this table second hand. Its from IKEA. My girlfrien made the pillows❤

I like the extra padding in this watch box…but maybe if they slimmed it down I could fit a couple more watches in there 😆

Just out on the dresser. If I don’t see them, they won’t get worn. If my watchmaker ever finds a movement for my gold-case Tissot, that one may reside in the safe most of the time.

Here are some different type of 3d printed watch stands I have printed. Tons of different watch stands available for free on thingverse.
