Recovering just ONE watch from your collection!!!

Hi people! Let me just start with a “GOD FORBID”!!!

Let’s say your current collection just disappears (stolen perhaps) and the perpetrators contact you, and as an act of courtesy, they offer you to recover only one watch from what they’ve taken… what watch would it be?

Note: try not to make your decision based on value… just for fun!!

In my case, it would be my GV Milgauss. Tough call against my Black Bay Smiley blue…

What would you get back, and why??

Cheers

I have four watches. A Seiko, A G-Shock, A Chris Ward, and a Tag Carrera. It would be the Tag, not because of the price but because it was a gift. Otherwise it’s the CW.

This... Because they aren't being made anymore & 80-90 years in, finding another is probably next to impossible.

My Dad's.

Will my girlfriend see this post? To be on the safe side I'll say my Star Wars themed Citizen.

Just don't tell my mistress, named the Omega Seamaster 300 Heritage.

·

This one: my RGM. It’s perfect for me. 🧟‍♂️

I'm really between my Rolex GMT Master II all Black and my Tudor Heritage Crono, ufff difficult because there would also be the Seamaster 300 Crono

That is an interesting question.

This little thing I put together myself

Hmmmm… none… it will be tainted with bad memories … I’ll start a new collection.

I have to admit that tudor is a great looker

·

Either the Formex or swc ... and the swc winning by a whisker

·

Tough one. My brain and wallet would say the Rolex Explorer since it's the most $$$ in the collection.

However, my heart would say the G-Shock I wore while deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. It's pretty beat up, the display is kinda faded, it goes with nothing I wear since I hung up my uniform, I don't wear it anymore, and it has zero monetary value. But it will always have a home in my watch box because that watch has been through more with me than any of the nicer pieces that a thief would see as easy money. I figure I can always get on the list for another Rolex if needs be. But there ain't no list I could go on to get this watch back.

Fair point!

None! I want the insurance payoff so I can start off a new and different hobby. 😂

·

Probably my original Direnzo 03 from the Kickstarter. That was special

·

Jokes on them, they ain’t even gonna break even on what i paid for the shit i have! Not even my fake Rolex from my aunt works

My Serica or ones of my San Martins, maybe.

·

My customized Seiko has the most sentimental value (gift from my wife)

...but I'd probably save my Timex MK1 Mechanical since it would be more difficult to replace.

·

I would keep them on the line as long as possible. You know the rest 🤣.

Nice looker. Whose parts are those? I don’t recognize the dial badging, and it looks great.

·

The dresskx that my wife gifted me. Not only does it have sentimental value, it is also a good piece to again restart my collection.

·

The photo got me reading & I concur. My choice would also be

I mean, I could get another BB58 pretty easy... but that specific one has gone on so many adventures. I'm torn between my Seiko Snoopy, which would be hard to replace or my Cartier Tank Solarbeat Small they don't make anymore.

I'm going with my heart. Give me the BB58 back, it's mine

·

That would be my Pepsi.

Only one answer for me. My Citizen Attesa AT8189-61E. It's one of two that I bought and had engraved for myself and my brother.

Both great watches. The grey strap on the Tudor really elevates it (the OEM dark navy strap mine came with is very dull - gotta change it).

1. Because I bought it to mark my retirement, 2. it would be the hardest to replace new, 3. it is my most GADA so I could wear it all the time while I replace some or all of the others, 4. I love it the most (don't tell the others)

Dial and hands were from Dagaz. They used to sell parts for modding Seikos but unfortunately went out of business last year. Also thank you, I am glad you like it 🍻

I had my small collection (Dugena, Maurice Lacroix, Preisig, Roamer) stolen more than 10 years ago. Finding one of those 200 Preisig Day Dates again was what threw me back into the rabbit hole of watch collecting. I'm not letting it get away again.
