I'm from Alberta, Canada and have been collecting (something) in some capacity since 1988. I've been early-retired since 2013 and now live in Doha, Qatar with my wife who loves moving from country to country in her quest to educate as many young minds as she can. I'm new to collecting watches and have only recently rediscovered my longtime love of timepieces after a lengthy pause following an unpleasant experience with a beloved watch that soured me for many years.

I collected micro computer systems for more than thirty years and Nikon film cameras as well. I sold off both collections prior to our move to Qatar. I have regrets about the sales but having a collection that contained over a hundred very complete systems with boxes, software and thousands of extra items required a great deal of effort. Watches are much smaller and can move with me to our next home with ease. The high five figures earned also acts as salve on the mental wounds incurred. 😁
I'm looking at consolidating into one (or two)🙃 of these. I like the oversized slots and the fact that it can be mounted on the wall as well.
As I have a habit of mentioning, the Lunar Replicas NASA strap is a great addition to this piece. 🌜⌚
