You have never had one in your hand I would assume? It far beats anything in its price range for build quality and quality of strap IMHO.
Picked one up on a trip to NY in Jan. I adore it. Bought it for pure nostalgic reasons but every time I put it on my wrist, I love it more. Incredible quality with a massive back story/history.
Of course you should. Some of my favourites are Quartz. Don't get hung up on Mechanical or Quartz, find the ones you love and enjoy them whether Quartz or not. IMHO
