Wherever they fit. No rhyme or reason. The only grouped together are solar watches that are in a 10 slot box by a window.

In order of when I purchased them

By color of the straps

By quartz or mechanical.

Lug width, as the straps are tossed in there with the watches. beyond that, just wherever they were first placed.

The one I’m done with takes the place of the one I’m going to wear.

I have a watch drawer with a towel on the bottom. No box (yet) i'm afraid.

Definitely by brand.

I have a drawer system set up for my watches, in addition to my precious metal and main collection ones that I keep in boxes.

D: absolute chaos

My main watch box is now my storefront window. I restock it with thing rotating in/out of the other boxes seasonally, or as the mood strikes. No set organization though I sort of try to keep the brands grouped together…

Smell

How they fit in my box mostly. The space between 2 watches is quite small. If I put 2 bigger watches besides each other they are really close to hit themselves.

One box is independent and microbrand. The other box is luxury watches.

I'll let you off then lol. I can't say much really my straps are just thrown into a draw!

My primary collection is in a safety deposit box, no organization there. But my budget sub collection is done by color.

Enough to be embarrassed about… I’ve not even counted the boxes…

I should note that zi am reducing my watch box “collection” to 6-slot boxes with leather-covered metal(? — maybe plastic, i haven’t investigated) walls. They are more compact? $20 on AliX
