Marc, owner of Long Island Watch
I'm not usually one to post, but I recently had an experience with Marc Frankel, who, as you know, owns Long Island Watch. I contacted the company through the website, and Marc answered the email himself, and very quickly at that. I was having an issue with a Squale Original which I had purchased pre-owned, and wanted to find out if it might be under warranty (which it is). Marc took the time to answer my questions and send me the paperwork required to return the watch for service. Bear in mind that I did not purchase the watch from him. This is exemplary service, and is another example of why Marc enjoys the reputation he does within the watch community. I have purchased watches from him in the past, and will continue to do so in the future. Just wanted the community to know.

Yes, I can say from personal experience Marc is one of the nicest and most upstanding people in the business.

Same, had an issue with a watch I bought from him and it was fixed quicker than I could've reasonably expected. I was amazed, will buy more from him at some point.
I'll be taking delivery of an Islander watch today, so I'll definitely be posting a #NWA when I get it sized and on my wrist later. This will be my first Islander watch, but I expect nothing less than to be completely satisfied with my purchase. Not gonna spoil it yet, though.
I've said it before and I will say it again. Marc has built a brand on integrity and I will continue to support his company AND his brand.

I'm a repeat customer and Marc sets a pretty high bar that most other sellers and content creators don't emulate. I feel very fortunate to have access to that type of integrity and service. I would recommend Long Island watches without hesitation.
Marc is a perfect example of “buying the seller.” If it’s between LIW and another shop, I’m almost always going to buy from Marc —even if I can get what I’m looking for at a lower price someplace else.
Marc seems to be a great person and his customer service is top notch! I have exchanged emails with him a couple of times and he always try to help. I hope the Islander line continues to grow, and he continues adding original designs. I wish him the best!
Marc is great. The man cares about his business, customers, and respects quality customer service. I’ve purchased 7 Islanders as well as a couple Seikos and a Timex.

I bought my first Islander watch back in February--the ISL-140 GMT in grey. It was running about 15-17 seconds slow with was within tolerance. Nevertheless, Marc still offered to get it regulated for only the cost of shipping to the repair shop in the next state.
I like the way he responds quickly to emails and stands by his products. Will buy again.

I wouldn't hesitate it's an absolute gem of a watch. I have the cream dial and recently gifted a black dial to my Dad. He loves it and won't take it off.
He has Omega's and Rolex's but likes his Islander as his everyday.

Marc is fantastic. I have made 2 purchases. The latest is an and Ocean Blue Northport that's on its way. There are more purchases to come. I have also made several enquiries, and Marc's responses though brief, are always amazingly quick given his limited staff. Great customer service.

Could you tell me how much you have to pay in addition to the price of the islander watch to get it from the US to the UK please? I'm assuming some tax as well as packing and posting?

I bought two watches and several accessories from Mark's online shop. The service was always excellent with prompt deliveries and he answered every questions I had professionally and courteously.
I wish all my other purchase experiences were like the one from Long Island watch, but sadly this is not the case.
You may have heard the story Marc tells sometimes about growing up in his Dad's hardware store and once seeing his Dad saw some wood for a guy, free of charge, that the guy had just bought. Marc then noted the guy came back soon after (the next day, the next week, whatever), and bought a BUNCH of stuff at the hardware as he'd had a good experience the first time. A light bulb moment for him at a young age.
I'm hoping he would open a shipping center in EU so I could get faster shipping and no customs charges. My bank account and wife hope this doesn't happen.
I’ve yet to buy anything from LIW, but I need to. Learned a ton from Marc’s YT watch and learn series over the years and have always enjoy his content. He seems like a nice guy/straight shooter. So I kinda feel like I owe him some business!
Marc is definitely one of the good guys in this hobby and as a business owner. His CS is unsurpassed.
