I have worn a watch every day since I was 4, I don't even sleep without one. I have a collection of over 20, none over $1000. I acquire but only rarely flip. I appreciate all things horology and wrist watches and believe there is no real right or wrong way to do this hobby, it is subjective.

Who cares if some people hate them? It's a good watch and value and if you get enjoyment out of it that's all that matters.
I do, a lot. The Diashield on the whole watch keeps it new looking almost two years later and I have worn it. I don't mind the only-slight taper, I think it suits the watch. But most importantly it is comfortable for me, and the clasp balances out the head weight very well. I don't mind pins and collars, you set them once and they never move, can be done at home with a simple punch, and micro adjust guarantees you can find the right fit.
I have no experience with the Citizen, but can vouch for the Seiko as it is part of my regular rotation
