Gold Colored Watches?

I've fallen hard (feel free to mock me).  My once impeccable taste for understated dress and everyday watches has fallen victim to bling fever.  I'm talking gold colored watches.

I recently got some quartz watches in gold coloring, the Gold PRX and the Hamilton Ventura, to fill in some gaps in my collection.

Now I'm going down the rabbit hole of looking at the pure stuff. Real gold ✨ PRX Gold models, Tudor S&G, Tudor Royal, and anything with a gold fluted bezel.

Real gold or not, show me what you got 🤑

I won't even pretend they're tasteful.

I feel you... I think gold is the ultimate step into the dark side. And I love it...

Grandad's Bulova Baxter circa 1951, great uncle's 25 years service Universal Geneve circa 1950, and presumably great-grandfather's Tiffany pocket watch. All inherited, all with some degree of real gold.

These are the goldie's in my collection.

I love that gold PRX you've pictured👌

Beautiful!  That Omega pie pan, and the Polerouter are on my dream list of vintage watches!  And these are beautiful!  I don't own any vintage at the moment (unless you count one watch from the 80s) but I do keep one eye out for the right one at the right price.  Do you have to baby them?  Or wear them just like any other watch?

No, not baby them. Of course they are not close to ”beaters” but no problem for daily wear. The weak spot is the limited, or non existant, water resistence.

Mid 1950's rosegold Doxa. Long term target : vintage36 mm rosegold DayDate

Wow that Polerouter. Drooling. Absolutely must add one of those to the collection some day.

My wife wanted something 18k gold, vintage but simple and clean. I tried her on Constellations, Polerouters and various 50s Omegas, IWC and Zenith that I love but none took. Then I stumbled upon 70s Cellinis and she was hooked. And now I'm becoming hooked. The design is so restrained, so geometric, so minimal. I could hardly believe it was Rolex. Priced really reasonably at roughly $2600 iirc. Really is one you have to see in person as the proportions and simplicity really are what make it work.

I aspire to have an all gold watch because they look like 70’s or 80’s dad pieces.

For now I settle on my Seiko with gold trimmings.

My Bulova Computron is a really fun casual watch.

I prefer actual gold. Saying this, I only have one rose gold piece right now a Radiomir. Gold scratches easily. This watch isn't worn a ton but it shows its age

Plastic gold!

Would love a rose gold watch someday though.

Any news on when Tissot will release a 35mm PRX automatic in gold? Man I can't wait.

They also have gold case gold dial version of it, if you can find :P

Very cheap, but never used one (Balticus)

This one released globally but he's asking for an automatic one. Like me :) maybe a 37mm Powermatic 80 Chronometer with a screw-down crown. I'll buy 100 of them 😂

Nah I'm referring to an automatic version, like the person above said. The reason I'm asking is because Tissot did release a 35mm automatic version with a gold bezel, which confirms that they have a 35mm powermatic.

Edit: used the wrong photo

PLEASE Tissot, don't make us wait for too long!

All that glitters is not gold, it could be the brass underneath:
