Casio Duro is so goood !

Hey crunchers,

Got my duro and I must say this is so damn good. For the first time I am preferring quartz over automatic. The presence of this watch is amazing and you wouldn’t believe, I am starting to like it more than my orient kamasu.

I keep wearing the duro and I keep loving it. Just a solid watch.

·

It has very few rivals at its price point. A little big for some though.

·

Trust me. this watch is amazing.

·

I was lucky I bid on a modded Duro from a friend of Jody from " Just One More Watch " sapphire crystal and different bezel 👍

·

Why stop at one?

I love my Duro!

You share the same opinion as Bill Gates (ie - MicroSoft) he wears one too. How about that for a conversation starter...? Don't know if he has any Orient Divers though...

·

The Duro punches above its weight. I have mine on a really high quality black and grey Bond nato and it looks and feels fantastic. I wear it a lot. By far my cheapest watch.

·

A little big but it’s certainly a looker once you throw it on a bracelet!

You just can’t beat em and as @foghorn said…. Why stop at one!

Have fun with it, its a great watch!

Welcome to the club! It's bar none the most versatile watch ever. It can be anything to anyone. It's probably the easiest watch to live with.

Get a hold of yourself lol

As someone whose been looking at a Kamasu, that seems wild. Whats the reason behind that? Is the duro just that good or the Kamasu not that good?

The Kamasu is great, there is no doubt in that if you can find a good deal. But the Duro is crazy good value for the money, that's how I see it.

Exactly and can’t complain about the quality of Casio.

·

It is without doubt a cracking looking watch, an absolute steal.

I defy anyone to look down their nose at this watch. Love it 👌

·

Dollar for Dollar. the best value you can find. It´s a strap monster. On a bracelet it shines!!! I wear it a lot. 😎

Got one and love it mines in Black but the Blue looks fantastic

I don't know how they do it.

Casio has sold almost a million of these Duros for $50, and they are better than some dive watches that sell for two and three times that price!

Can you think of any OTHER dive watch at this price that has:

  1. 200 meters of water resistance

  2. A screw down crown

  3. A screw in back

  4. Stainless steel case and back

  5. 120 click unidirectional bezel

  6. A date window

  7. A really nice fit and finish

And... it keeps better time than my Rolex, my Omega, or my Tissot...

I like it so much, that I bought two of them, and ended up adding bracelets to both. And I will probably end up owning a few more...

If Casio sold these with a sapphire crystal and a stainless steel bracelet, they could sell them for $100 and they couldn't make them fast enough. If they did that but used a really decent Japanese automatic movement, then they could easily get $200 for them. But I will take them just the way they are. For this price, you just cannot afford to NOT have one.

The way you put it is absolutely stunning. True, but adding sapphire crystal and a automatic movement aren’t what Casio is all about. But if they could do it. They will for sure gain most of the market share in the entry level automatics.

·

The mechanical movement is a stretch, but Casio DOES sell some better watches with sapphire crystals. They even have a few models selling for $500, and even some over $1,000.

For example...

·

I have 1 106 with Marlin. And 2 107's. All 3 of them have the sapphire upgrade. The Pepsi got an super engineers bracelet yesterday.

·

I feel like you man.

Image
·

I really want to mod one, specifically oil filled with a double dome sapphire

·

I like the Duro never purchased one yet. Is it to big for a 6.5 inch wrist. Does it live up to the hype?

·

I promise you.... you will love this watch if it is suitable for your wrist.

Casio recently introduced a smaller version (the MDV-10), which might be too small at 36mm. It looks more like a ladies watch, but if your wrist is small it might be right for you. They probably should have dropped it from 44mm to 40mm instead.

Image

But I still wouldn't recommend it because the newer version only has 50 meters of water resistance, and it lost the screw in case back and screw down crown. And they actually raised the price! So you pay more and get less, but it is smaller.

·

Have a blue and a black, love em both. Have my black on an oyster style steel from Ali express and my blue on a rotation of this orange or a grey rubber.

I gave mine to my cousin for his birthday he was happy 😊 unfortunately it was a little to big for me but I, enjoyed this watch for a few years. Great watch!
