Orange dial recommendations?

Calling on my fellow crunchers for recommendations. I've been thinking of getting an orange dial watch for some time. The main reason is that my first-born daughter's name translated means "orange tree". Also, her birthday is coming up soon, so what better watch to wear for the occasion?

The front-runner right now is the Bulova Devil Diver. Most reviews I've seen are overwhelmingly positive about the dial and how much the color pops. The only flaw is that it doesn't hack, otherwise, it's perfect. A close second is the Seiko 5 Sports GMT. As I've been wanting a GMT watch for some time, this could kill two birds with one stone, but it's not my favorite color for that watch, to be honest. If I were to get that Seiko, I'd much rather get the blue one.

I'd appreciate any other suggestions, preferably around $500. Thank you.

My vote goes to the Seiko orange monster. It’s the watch I have received the most compliments on from the general public. It is especially popular with kids and who doesn’t like having a random kid come up to you to say cool watch.

Here's a few micros off the top of my head.

I can personally vouch firsthand experience with Nodus, Helm, and Wolbrook/Douglas. Fantastic watches and brands.

Just don't have any orange dials 😂.

The Nomos Club Campus in future orange would be a good candidate too!

Sorry just saw the price range. I got too excited lol

·

It comes in a little higher new but check out the Davosa Swiss Argonautic. Great value for a Swiss auto

Scurfa. Mine’s a Treasure Seeker, but Diver Ones come in orange, too.

Hacking is over rated. My only issue is the price they’re asking for a non 9000 series movement.

Otherwise they’re great watches and perform really well. I loved mine:

Doxa and Nomos has a really nice catalogue of orange watches

·

#islander has a bunch

https://longislandwatch.com/islander-northport-fireball-hi-beat-automatic-dive-watch-with-sunset-orange-dial-isl-196/ (I have 5 Islanders and def recommend the brand)

Also #direnzo (currently sold out, but Sergio keeps releasing model updates with new colors)

The Oceanographer has to have the most beautiful shade of orange offered on any watch dIial at the moment!

·

That Devil Diver is always the first watch to come to mind when people say orange dial. Even before a Seiko Monster.

·

When I think of Orange Watches this is always the first one that comes to mind, sort of iconic:

CAN'T GO WRONG WITH SEIKO... (These are some of the Orange watches I have owned/still own)

Gotta be Doxa

Most definitely the Devil Diver would give you the brightest and most vibrant orange dial. It is almost blinding. Some of my other orange favorites are the Seiko 5 SRPD59 and the Invicta Slim. Below are others in my orange dial collection.

If you like JDMs, this limited edition model is well within your budget. Orient watches present great value propositions specification-wise. Sapphire glass, in-house movement with hacking and hand-winding, 200m WR.

It’s in stock on Japan Online Store.

*Disclaimer I’m not afliated to the brand or any stores, I just love JDM watches in general 😅

That’s a lot of orange. 😮 But it is helpful seeing side by side comparisons to other watches, so thank you for sharing. 🤝

New Devil Divers hack! New Miyota 8000 series movements hack! I got one a year ago, and it's great on a grains of rice bracelet, and while the 8000 series movement feels like a soviet tractor when you try to set it, it's also my most accurate watch (after regulation. It came out of the box 20 -30 seconds fast, but is now only +1-2 seconds a day.)

Something completely out of left field, not 100% orange but “red dirt” of Western Australia makes the dial & you would have something very different to mark your daughters birthday , It’s also within your budget $A 750/ US$ 495. Just a thought.

Doxa has the original orange dial. I think....
