Mini photoshoot

I started to take photos (with a camera, not my phone) in May and I quite like it, but I pretty much only shot birds and other wildlife. Yesterday, I...

My first dive watch!

Ever since getting into this hobby at the end of last year, dive watches hadn't really spoken to me. Recently, the Casio Duro caught my eye, partly be...

Which watch should I take?

Hi everyone! I'm going to my hometown for a day this week, and I would like to take only the watch on my wrist, just to keep it simple. The thing is, I'll go walk a trail in the woods in the afternoon...

I'd go for Casio, they have a good variety of models and fit my budget! Plus I wear a G-Shock almost every day anyway.

Guitar picks and guitars/musical instruments. I don't have pictures on my phone but I have north of 400 guitar picks (many duplicates as I bought them to play, but dozens of different ones), 15 guitars, a few other string instruments (mandolins, banjo, cigar box, pedal steel), a ton of guitar pedals and a few harmonicas. I'm a professional guitar player and teacher, but I really don't need all that to be able to work! 😅I never wanted to collect these things though. I'm just obsessive once I get hooked on something, but my goal is not to accumulate stuff, it's to find what I prefer, the best thing for me. When it happens (even though it's often temporary), I miss the hunt and get obsessed with something else. Right now it's EDC, but I'm trying not to fall into the rabbit hole as I don't need any of this stuff and it's usually quite expensive... As for watches, I've accumulated a few over the past 10 months, and I'm quite happy with my collection as it stands! Famous last words, I know...

Nice! G-Shock for me, with the Seagull and Boldr close behind it.

Either Rolex Explorer I (39 or 40mm) or IWC Spitfire Bronze with the green dial. I tried the IWC and loved it instantly!

Timex Expedition North will get you the same kind of look for a fraction of the price. Obviously not the same quality either, but I love mine anyway! I don't know the lug to lug though.

I don't know the reference numbers, but the one on the right!

Water resistance?

Ok so a G-Shock has 20 atm water resistance. That's plenty to go swimming, and even diving it would seem (not that I plan to do so). What bugs me is t...

Do you prefer a hand-wound or an automatic movement?

Part of the reason why I'm into watches is the romantic idea of winding my watch every morning. That intimate, almost meditative time when it's just you and your watch; you set the time, you wind it,...
