Citizen Washi Dial Eco-Drive Perpetual Calendars

I don't usually like date windows, but love the idea of an eco-drive with this function, never having to wind or worry about power running out, +/- 5 seconds a year accuracy, super titanium, 100 M WR. The date always correct due to the perpetual calendar.

Citizen giving Grand Seiko a run for their money with these...

·

White one ðÂÂÂð¼

I have a couple of Citizen eco-drives and they're great watches but on both the date windows are tiny, recessed and almost impossible to read, you may want to see one of the above in the flesh. I think the Citizen date window designer has much better eyesight than me!

These are fire! ð¥

·

I really really want these dials in automatic 🥲🥲🥲. I just love the swipe of the seconds hand.

·

Junghans MEGA gives the same functionality (and more) at a quarter the price. Granted, without the material or finishing quality of the The Citizen.

I hear you, I love them for the pure convenience of the high end eco-drive with perpetual.

They are the chronomaster as far as I know, some have the eagle some have the text.

·

·

Perpetual calendar is one of my favorite complications

·

Absolutely love mine. Criminally underrated watch

It’s 400k Yen so like $2.8 USD. No doubt still an expensive Citizen

Oh i saw 3,5k to 4,5k in some website

·

Is that a new logo? I don't think I've seen that on a Citizen dial. As for dates, I'd love to get one, but can't seem to hook that up lately. LOL

·

I have this. And it's really my most perfect watch. The dimensions and weight are a dream. However, the perfection means that I don't wear it as often. Somehow the lack of flaws makes it easy to ignore.

I hear you, if you have a quartz, you think it's ok to leave it today, I'll put a mechanical on to get it running.

·

As a Citizen and Seiko Fanboy... Simply best of both words, flawlessness in design and functionality. You know what you're getting with eco-drive. Set it and forget it... Look at it and always love it. Renders don't do this one justice, saw one in the flesh recently and I just can't get it out of my head. Dream watch. Sure is pricey tho.

·

Saw one of the white dial ones in japan. Might have been a 36mm or 38mm because it looked small. Dial looked nice and perfectly sharp finishing. Too bad i already allocated my credit card to a grand seiko slga021 on that trip.😄

·

I had seen the watches, best dial. I like gliding second hand, The Citizen is quartz with solar panel.

·

Oh wow these are incredible looking. Just like grand seiko. Doesn’t anyone own one? What are they like?

Why don’t people talk about these more? They seem to be a direct competitor to GS no?

Why don’t people talk about these more? They seem to be a direct competitor to GS no?

Afaik they are intended for Japanese domestic market and Citizen is not marketing them in the EU and USA. Meanwhile, your classic YouTube influencers are too busy losing their minds with monthly Grand Seiko releases.

Also, the fact that they don't possess a mainspring, and -as we all know- therefore they don't have soul.

So I guess that's why nobody is talking about them.

·

Would kill for that plain white one.

·

I am sure it is a great watch but pretty expensive for a watch. Casio's Oceanus line , Citizen Promaster line and Casio edifice and lineage lines have watches that not only give you a perpetual calendar but also atomic timekeeping which is +/- 0 a year and they change automatically when DST/STD time changes.

Image

I know this is a different type watch but it is just an example of what is available.

·

If anyone wants to lend me this on a long term load (5 years + options to extend) I would be happy to take in that burden

Yes, but that's precisely the point. My gf's 70€ Fitbit is +/-0s/year, but it syncs with external timekeeping device.

But how do you manage +/-5s/year stand-alone? No sync, no Bluetooth, no internet, no GPS.

Citizen has the answer.

Btw, your Promaster land looks fantastic!

I got ya. Yes stand alone that is tough to beat. My best running solar quartz so far is one of my citizen Promasters. I checked it after setting it a month earlier the other day and it was +3 seconds. My other was +6 for a month. Not to shabby but having that for a year is something else!!
