I have an older SMP in titanium and absolutely love it. Definitely feel the weight difference with steel and though I don’t have the steel variant I think the titanium version wears phenomenally
Don’t get me wrong I also like a solid watch with some heft to it but I’ve learned to appreciate the lightness as a mark of quality engineering and something a little different. Also it’s kinda like a quiet confidence thing- a reverse stealth watch where it has wrist presence and you sometimes don’t even notice. Takes some adjusting to and not to everyone’s taste I’d imagine

There’s lots of Mido/ swatch branded chronometers out there for $400-$1k. Recently picked one up for $475 off joma shop. I think most use the Caliber 80 (or Si80) which are regulated by machines so easier to achieve cosc specs. Got the trade off of lower beat rate and (maybe, debated and i don’t know enough about it) more difficulty in servicing
I would save if buying extra disc space is an option. I’m sentimental like that and would prob only look at them once or twice 🤪
