Too flashy?
For the first time in my life, I visited an AD here in Switzerland and they had a Daytona available to purchase. This one is too flashy for me, though. My wife looked at me and asked me if I was going to start selling narcotics lmao. What are your thoughts?

Steel or all gold was advice from a fella who sold APs, Brequet, JLC, Breitling and any brand if you did not object grey market. I know 2T is making a comeback but I prefer steel or gold still.

Hard to hide a two tone watch. I have one, love it, but I’d be lying if I said it didn’t attract unwanted attention. That said, if you want a Daytona, and have the means, two tone is the easiest way to get one at an AD.

Every time I tell an AD I’m looking for the white one they laugh. Never a good sign.
I'm not a fan of the TT Daytona in general but IMO that configuration doesn't lend itself well. The champagne dial and black subdial rings don't look quite right.

I’m starting to like two-tone watches, but I might not be mentally ready for one just yet. Especially one with a gold dial.

Based on the way it fits your wrist and the whiteness of your left shoe, I'd say you can pull it off.

I don't think it's worth it, $19500 retail plus tax brings you to $21.5 and these are listed on C24 for $24k and NO ONE is buying them so realistically $22k? And still dropping....there is a reason why it's still at the AD.
If you didn't go in looking for that model, then no.

The black subdial rings and text along the bezel certainly help to tone down the flashiness, IMO. I think it looks quite nice but gold (especially TT) is definitely a hate it or love it type of thing.

It would definitely attract the wrong sort of attention.
Get it try wearing it you’ll get used to how sublime it is, and then if it’s still too flashy you could always start selling narcotics
