Pick 3! Which 3 would you take on a trip?

I'll be going on a 2-weeks trip to southern Europe with a mix of business and pleasure. For the first week, I'll be meeting some co-workers for the first time and hosting customer events/dinners in an urban setting. For the second week, I'll be taking some time to travel locally and visit family, mostly in the city but may include some light outdoor activities.

For travel, I have a two-watch travel case, and with the one on the wrist makes 3 watches I travel with. Now two question for you:

  1. Which 3 would you bring on this trip from my watch box?

  2. What is your three-watch collection on the road?

The Casio Royale, great travel watch and a quartz option is always good for grab and go. Comfy on the wrist while travelling too.

The Alpinist for meeting and hosting, its classy and just works for that situation.

The Samurai/Seiko 5 SRPD for leisure. Got the specs for activities.

·

World Time for travel, SRPD for meetings/dinners, SNK for extra casual outdoors.

I was in Europe last month and brought my GM-2100 (world time) and my Flightmaster (second time dial) and a Casio Royale as backup. Just tossed it in with my socks.

Alpinist all day, every day! 👍 👍

·

The Alpinist, The Casio and the blue Seiko diver.

My 3 watch travel combo changes depending on the trip but usually includes my Garmin Vivoactive 4 to track workouts, a diver, in case of beach-related activities, normally my Orient Kano. If I need something dressier, can’t go wrong with a Seiko 5.

Lately, my silver on silver Vostok Amphibia has been able to do both roles comfortably

though.

Middle upper with the outside lowers

·

MoonSwatch, Alpinist, and 5KX

·

I would go with one, alpinist

·

Snk & alpinist. No 3rd required

·

Casio for travelling, alpinist for the evenings (a bit classy) and the seiko 5 diver for leisure ( wet or not)

·

For a three watch collection you basicly need only the Casio AE-1200.

It's a Chronograph

It's a GMT

It's a perpetual Calendar watch

With 10ATM , 5 Alarms and 4 time zones it is the perfect travel mate.

PLUS: Nobody will chop your hands off for this watch because every knive will cost more.

But for your Question:

  1. Casio AE-1200

  2. Seiko Alpinist

  3. Seiko 5 Flieger/Field

·

Alpinist and both Seiko 5's, you have all covered. Could do with Alpinist alone🙂

My 3 travel set do it all would be Alpinist, BB Pro and GA2100. If more formal I would swop Alpinist for UN Marine Torpilleur

·

Prospex, 5(black) and Casio 😉🤩 That should get you through anything 👍

·

1. Casio Worldtimer for the airplane, Seiko 5 diver (rubber strap) for swimming, Seiko Alpinist (change the strap to a nato) for hiking.

2. I used to take 2 watches to travel: Casio Gshock and JLC Polaris. But people in Barcelona decided to steal my GShock from my bag. So now I only bring 1 watch. The JLC Polaris

·

Europe - definitely the Omega Swatch for daily wear. Seiko sector and the Seiko 5.

I take my marathon GSAR 41 for daily, Rado captain cook for dinner.

·

For the quirky charm I'd go with the Casio.

·

Alpinist, samurai and the SK would do it for me 👍🏻👌🏻🤘🏻

That's quite the travel case! Working my way up to it one day!

Thank you! Stay focused and I'm sure you'll get there.

Out of your collection, any combination of 3 watches excluding the Moonswatch for sure! I would be too worried to bang a Moonswatch against some luggage during travel. But to be specific, the Alpinist and Casio Royale would be enough for me.

The MoonSwatch is so fragile. I swear the fabric of my soft sweater sleeve creates micro abrasions on the crystal.

Since I don't see a square M5610 in your box (a deplorable omission that I hope you will fix soon), my advise is to wear the Casio AE1200 when traveling and add the Alpinist for meetings and social events.

I’m on it! Actually been eyeing the full metal version for a while now haha

A few drops of liquid glass should help making it more scratch resistant.

For me, the bottom row looks like a pretty solid set of companions on your trip. The Alpinist can be both explore and formal vibes, the black seiko 5 is perfect for some bashing or GADA type environments, and the titanium Samurai on the end... to me, it's just a great watch. Light, durable, looks great on bracelet, could dress up or down. Whatever you decide, have a safe trip and enjoy!

Alpinist anytime

·
  1. Casio, Alpinist, Seiko 5

  2. Tissot V8 white dial, Timex Harborside, all Black. That's it.

·
  1. Seiko Alpinist - Beautiful green dial with gold gilt.

  2. Seiko Samurai - I always like blue dive watches.

  3. Casio

For travel (I don't very often since its not required for work)

  1. Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80 - for everyday and work events.

  2. Longines Hydroconquest blue & gold - dive watch for non-work, weekend and social activities.

  3. Seiko 5 SRPD - Green or blue one as a beater, exercise or when I know activities could result in watch getting bumped or knocked around. Low in cost to where it can be replaced without issue. Casio g-shock is the potential alternative, but I do not have one yet and focused on the higher end for now.

·

Alpinist, 5KX, Royale

·

Royale, Alpinist and either diver

·

I'd choose the Seiko Alpinist, the blue Seiko diver and the Casio Royale. My three watches that I take with me almost always are my Seiko 5, Casio Edifice chronograph, and my Camy Club-Star.
