Awesome pics and what a great trip. Tokyo really is watch heaven. We might have crossed path. I’m leaving Japan today. Im jealous of all the watch pics. My family mocks me too much for me to do this except on my solo trip to the Seiko museum
@cabarbhab, thank you very much for the recommendation. While the wife and daughter were in Ginza shopping, I took a trip to Mizitani Camera (and then Nakano) and Mizutani Camera was just as you described (and I much prefer the vibe of this small modest shop to Nakano). Saw 2 cool Seiko 6139s and am trying to decide between them and a watch I saw at Nakano broadway. Thanks again.
40-41. I think 40 was the sweet spot in a survey I read online so it falls between the 38 and 42 options on this survey
Yep, I only buy watches to complement my strap collection. Too many good ideas here.
Also, @RuneRider, thanks for pointing my Apollo fan head in the direction of the Luna Replicas site (just blew a hole in my monthly budget). Walter Mitty time.
I time lots of things with my chrono (mostly wait times for restaurants and (quietly just for me) my wife when we she is getting ready. I would say date window is more useful but at my age, I can’t read the date without a cyclops. The cyclops is another (beloved?) Rolex innovation.
