I pondered this exact same question, here's my post from about a year ago to add even more info and/or confusion to your decision lol:

Ultimately, I ended up purchasing neither and opted for a Sinn U50 instead. No regrets, although you cannot go wrong with any of these options. I still have a bit of a longing for the railmaster if I'm honest.
I'm a big Craig fan in terms of Bond and in general....but he needs to fire the barber that gave him that haircut 😂 LOVE the watch, probably more so than the black speedy for me personally.
Thanks! This is a Seiko I've always felt has flown under the radar. It's the SPB185 also known as the "marine master reduced," or "MM200 reduced." It's basically a slightly smaller version of the Marine Master 300M line. To my knowledge this particular model is only offered in black w/steel bezel and dark blue w/black bezel, and is possibly discontinued at this point. Not sure why these didn't gain more traction in the watch community - great movement, great finishing, quality stock bracelet, and goldilocks in terms of sizing. It's a hidden gem if you ask me!
Appreciate it! I purchased this on Strapcode and it really bumped up the look and feel of the watch significantly. Here's the link: https://www.strapcode.com/collections/kamasu/products/strapcode-watch-bands-metal-ss-bcl20-bps125
Came here to make this exact point! In-house movement doesn't always equal "better." Plus, my understanding is Breitling (and many other brands within this tier) does their own regulating/finishing so it's not as if they're sticking in a movement straight out of the box.
I am just now getting to this state of mind as well. I own 2 watches that were above $3,000 and they are awesome, no doubt, but the rest of my collection (generally under $1,000) gives me just as much joy and it helped me to realize that bigger price tag does not necessarily equal more satisfaction.
