Three levels of watch you want

I ask this question of various folks in various context but I think this is a fun exercise for this group.

What watch do you want under these three criteria?

1) what watch would you buy if money is no issue?

2) what watch would you buy that you could afford but may not be reasonable? It would come close to breaking the bank.

3) what watch would you buy given your current budget? (This one may just be your next purchase)

Hahaha. This is easy. Patek 5326G, Patek 5326G, and NOT Patek 5326G. I should add, I am not looking at any watch right now. I am either stuck, satiated, or unable to afford, but unclear to me which.

1) ALS Richard Lange "Pour La Merite" Tourbillon, white gold.

2) VC 222 gold. I can see myself going nuts on several pieces of art to reach that price, but I'd never blow that much on a watch. Probably my just about attainable grail that I'll never purchase.

3) Steel Daytona, but I'm still not convinced it's the right thing to do.

·

1) Something ridiculous from Jacob & Co. like the Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon Sapphire Crystal or the Astronomia Triple-Axis Tourbillon. If money is truly no object, that would be part of a big collection and wouldn’t be a daily wear. Crazy ostentatious, but what absolute works of art.

2) Rolex GMT-Master II “Batgirl.” Five figures for a tool watch is probably unreasonable for me, but I just love that watch. Black and blue are my favorite colors, and I dig the Jubilee bracelet. I’ve tried the Batgirl on a couple times, and it positively sings to me.

3) Venezianico Nereide w/tungsten bezel. This one fits well within my budget and ticks a lot of boxes for me. Tungsten is an underutilized material in watchmaking; it has a cool look and insane scratch resistance. Plus Venezianico’s designs are very pleasing. They’re an up and coming brand, for sure.

  1. Casio

  2. Casio

  3. Casio

Trust me, I have Casios on my mind which fulfil all the criteria. I just don't want to get too specific because it's not only a bit sad but also a bit personal in some cases, and it will make me look like a bigger fool than I'm usually able to portray myself on my own without any help.

Dude don't put yourself down like that man. Casio is awesome and the best way to not be a fool is to believe in yourself. I believe in you so believe in yourself too my g

Damned when I saw the first 2 pictures I told myself "did I already answered that thread ??"

My third choice would be a Christopher Ward C63/C65 or a 2nd hand Citizen Chronomaster Jounetsu.
