New StudioUnderd0g Release! 🪼

Looks like my guess of a dive watch was way off base! Haha. Love the look of these! Again, great use of colors, fresh take on a traditional design, some on-point ribbing of the watch industry (“Steffany Blue” lol). Wouldn’t expect anything less from StudioUnderd0g 👏

I like the Steffany Blue & the Full Mo0n. Are they enticing enough for me to fork out £800? A couple of years ago I would have. Today, it would be another purchase for the sake of purchasing so it's a no for me.

Good luck with this launch though Studio Underd0g 🙏👍

Yeah, a bit steep. I do think the spec sheet offers some justification for the price: Sellita movement, custom pigmented SuperLuminova, sapphire layer dial, assembled in the UK, not to mention the brand itself represents an excellent USP. Not saying I’m champing at the bit to shell out $900 for a microbrand, but I definitely see the reason behind the price tag, and I definitely don’t think it’s a huge stretch or a cash grab on SU’s part.

Definitely not a cash grab on Richard's part. If he was of that nature, he already has the product & the demand to rake it in with the Watermel0n.

Field watches are by definition simple looking timepieces, these colour variants & lume do offer up something a bit different to others in this watch category.

Totally agree. And, just to be clear I wasn’t implying you had said it was a cash grab in your comment :). Just posting my general thoughts on the pricing. 🍻

Not for a second, I know exactly where you were coming from. It's a step up in price from the original models but there's good reason for this as you explained.👍

Fan of this brand but not sure if I’m digging the 2 dial screws, which could be relocated/disguised as hour markers (?) 🤙

·

Love these. Instant buy for me on the 1st November. And this is from someone who didn’t get the watermelon - so I guess I’m a convert.

·

Underwhelmed. But that's ok, money saved for a different piece. Or maybe even a Watermelon next time around.

·

Really nice then I looked at the price tag and immediate disappointment as its out of my reach.

·

Love this. Prefer it to the chrono, well done!

·

Meh, fan of the brand, but not this release. Some cool things, but overall I find myself underwhelmed.

Agreed. They look like cheek piercings and I don’t dig it. To each their own, I suppose.

·

The white one will be my first pick and black as the backup but only if I can get one of the first 500. Not waiting until next year for a 2nd batch.

·

Now this is a fire summer watch

·

Very nice! They remind me of Kuoe a little bit with the size and the railroad track pattern around the dial.

·

Cracking #lume just not sure about the actual watch 😳

LOL, I don't know that ours is a "release" Ichi...but it will be a momentous set of posts!

C’mon I love day dreaming!! Day dream with me!! 🍻… btw if I do a sandwich dial like so wondering it would affect the hands since I’m doubling the dial thickness prbly .8mm not sure if it would matter?

·

That pins kills it for me 🥴

·

They are really cool and fun in an Underd0g kind of way. I just don't like the size. Eventually they will come up with a diver and I am guessing these will be larger

Maybe, the tolerance on dials is pretty tight. Only one way to find out!

Had a feeling you would say that.. 😩

Interesting. If we look at the basic Hamilton khaki as a marker at £550 then I guess we have to ask if the innovation and the movement is worth the extra £250. Some very cool things that I haven’t seen before and while I don’t think they are for me I think this is a great effort. I never fell in love with the watermelon as I didn’t think it was worth the extra £350 over the Seagull 1963 but I guess this is a good example of design as he made it work and it went on to become a great hit. So I love the idea and I think the price is ball park and I wish them success however there are a few offering full lume dials for a bit less so it will be interesting to see how it goes.

·

Very disappointing. Very boring for such an innovative brand.

·

I love the Full Mo0n (off white). Classic but still a bit cheeky.

·

All great here and would take Steffany in a heart beat but man those screws on the dial😕 as already mentioned from another WC in other post they could include them as markers at 3 and 9

·

I'm a big fan of the screws, they keep the outlandish pink lemonade or blue dial grounded in the field watch militaristic roosts.

If there was no screws it wouldn't look field'y enough IMO with a pink dial...

But if there was no pink dial it wouldn't look Studio Underd0g'y enough.

It's the perfect mix.

·

If the text above 6 o'clock curves upward, it would be a 😊

·

Based off the other comments I feel like I may be an outlier. I love the Steffany blue. I’ve always wanted a field watch in my collection but I always found them to be too boring. The price is high but it’s so unique and being unique can’t be cheap for a small company. Still have time to decide but will probably pull the trigger.

·

I’m super excited to see these in person. And I might be ordering some as well. I love the creativity involved in theses designs.

·

Those are great! The lume is amazing! The green lume is crazy bright!
